We loved it. Karen and Roger were so friendly. The heritage house is charming. There is an old toilet with a pull chain cistern. The bathroom has polished sandstone floors and a big bath with claw feet. The homemade jam and stewed fruit is like my grandmother makes and it reminded me of going to visit her as a child....

Two self contained bedrooms with shared bathroom which is well equipped. Use of laundry available. Owners were very helpful with advice about where to go and what to do in Hobart and surrounds. Very knowledgeable and informative about the history of the home and original owners. Easy access to Hobart Central either self drive or by bus which runs frequently....

I spent 3 nights at Bendalls in early December and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The house and gardens are beautiful and, although a 30 minute downhill walk from the city centre, it is conveniently located for the bus route, a supermarket and the nearby "restaurant street" with lots of options for eating. I slept extremely well each night and Karen...

I stayed at Bendalls during my first visit to Hobart just last week. It is very conveniently located and easy to get into town from here by car or bus. Comfortable, clean room in a period home renovated with attention to every detail. Karin and Roger are welcoming and attentive hosts. Loved the home made jams and varied breakfast selection. Drinks and chats on the balcony overlooking the mountains and beautiful garden will be staying in our memories until we return.

We were given a warm and friendly welcome when we arrived at Bendalls and then stepped back in time with embroidered linen, home made jams, original china and crystal and all the features of a lovingly restored home. A great location to see Hobart and enjoy...

A delightful stay in New Town. Karen and Roger offer a warm welcome, and they've thought of everything. It's just a short walk down to the cafes and restaurants; and the main sights of Hobart are not much further on. This is a great base from which to explore Hobart and its surrounds.
