The people at the Grand Chancellor were very accommodating and dealt professionally with everything from ordering a taxi to changing menu items. The hotel is well adapted to people who suffer with a handicap or wheelchair needs. Although it is somewhat dated, the hotel is very close to the Rundle Street Mall (down the lane, turn right and at the...

We stayed at the Grand Chancellor on Currie for 5 nights. The room was very clean and well equipped. The restaurant downstairs was always open and very handy for meals. The room service meal was excellent, also. The people at the reception were always very polite, well presented and helpful. The Hotel is situated in a very good area with...

We have always stayed at The Grand Chancellor on Hindley but decided to try Currie instead. I'm so glad we did. This was a very comfortable Hotel that catered for our needs. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Staying here was a mistake. The location and price seemed good, but this hotel fails to deliver on its potential - or even get the basics right. I arrived early evening, to find my room had had heating blasting for hours - it was like a sauna. I turned the thermostat to its lowest setting, then went out for an...

We're local to Adelaide but decided to spend a night in this hotel rather than take a taxi home one night after a night out. Overall impression is that it is a nice enough hotel, but felt like a three star hotel, not a four. Our room was spotlessly clean, and the bed was lovely and comfortable. But thats really...

Rooms are a reasonable size and well appointed but need some upgrading. While superficially clean, carpets are stained and bathroom has a build up of mould. The car park is situated in Hindley St, which given the rainy weather is not convenient. Hotel bar and cafe closes down after breakfast and dinner and makes for a 'dull' foyer and welcome....

Whilst the room was smallish this hotel met my needs. Much of the furniture was tired and needed upgrade, but the bed was extremely comfortable and the bed linen nice Egyptian cotton. Whilst I'd stay there again; there's plenty of competition. I paid $119 for the night-I guess it was worth that.

This is round the corner from the bigger Grand Chancellor in Adelaide. It is tired. Just about everything needs a refit. It has clearly been adapted - the bathrooms in each room have been cut out from the large bedroom, and so that the bedroom now feels as though it is the wrong shape. The plumbing makes some strange noises....

We spent 4 nights at the Hotel the day after the bad storms when Adelaide lost power. Room was still spotlessly clean and the staff were very helpful. Beds are very comfortable and the restaurant down stairs served a nice coffee at night and a good value breakfast in the morning. We would stay again if in Adelaide.

My boyfriend and I stayed for 2 nights in the Executive King Spa Suite. The price was excellent for what we got! The spa was clean and well maintained, the front desk staff were all very polite and helpful, and the hotel is located in a position that makes exploring the city very easy. The bed was THE most comfortable...
