We came here wanting to relax. Excellent. From the moment we arrived, we almost felt like family. The staff and management are brilliant. The concept of partly self catered is brilliant. We ate in the restaurant when it was open and cooked/made our own meals when it was not. When we were cooking in the very clean, well resourced kitchen, we got to meet and talk to other guests. The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. You can't ask for much more if you want a "do nothing" break. We came here through an internet deal, but we will definately will be back as full fare paying guests. Well done and thanks to Caroline, Derek and the team
Thank you for having us! We enjoyed our stay. The snorkelling and kayaking wasn’t an additional cost which was really nice. It certainly is a little slice of paradise. We loved the bush walks in particular, the scenery around the island is stunning! We wish the resteraunt was open every day, the food was awesome there and is much easier than cooking our own food however, it is a self-catering resort. The staff are lovely and helpful with great tips on what to do and see around the island. Thanks again!
This is a paradise. I would recommend 100%. The foos is delicious and friendly staff. If you're a Hawaiian pizza lover, this is the place to go, best Hawaiian pizza I have ever tried. If you like sunset, you will see one the most amazing ones.
We had a great stay at Palm Bay, the rooms were a really generous size with a hammock outside each one, not to mention the views from the deck are incredible. Long Island is so quiet and most of the time you will have the beach to yourself. The pool area amazing and normally pretty quiet, very rare you have to wait for a sun bed. The restaurant has recently reopened and the food is very good, while there aren’t any vegan/vegetarian options on the dinner menu, the chef made a fantastic vegan pizza for my partner. To top it all off the staff are incredibly friendly and go out of their way to help you, even unloading the bags from the water taxi to your room is a nice little extra. This trip massively exceeded our expeditions and is definitely one of the more hidden gems of the Whitsundays islands.…
We had a fantastic stay - the staff were helpful and friendly. We stayed in the Hibiscus Suite which was spacious and clean and had fantastic views from the balcony and very private. There are plenty of bush walks around the island and you see plenty of wildlife. It is self catering so l just ordered our groceries online and had them delivered the day we arrived. However the restaurant is open 5 nights out of 7 for lunch and dinner. If you want a low key, quiet, relaxing resort that is small and no crowds then this place is for you. We will definitely go back.
