We stayed four nights at Palm Bungalows as part of our honeymoon. It was our first visit to Hamilton Island and it won’t be our last. It was a very relaxing stay, the bungalow was gorgeous, with a great little kitchenette, comfortable bed and a nice little front deck with a hammock to chill out in. We had breakfast at Reef View Hotel as part of our package and it was great, lots of options. We found the bungalow was in a great location for walking to the marina, and hired a buggy for a couple of hours to do a bit of a tour of the island and had a picnic lunch. We did walk to One Tree Hill, very hot and steep walk but worth it for the view.

We decided to book our accommodation on Hamilton Island. We wanted to try something new and therefore we booked a bungalow accommodation. It was the best choice. The place was very spacious for two people and very comfortable. We could prepare our meal there without any problem. My daughter loved the hammock outside on the veranda. The bungalow was very close to anything, just walking distance. We will be back again.

We stayed at the Palm bungalows for 3 nights just after the island reopened due to COVID travel restrictions. Great size room and kitchenette is great if you don’t want to pay the high prices for restaurant food all the time. We stayed in bungalow 18 which was a good position. Highly recommend pre-booking a buggy for hire while you’re there as it’s a lot easier to get around the island especially to catch the sunrise and sunset at one tree hill! Hamilton island is very hilly so walking isn’t the easiest.

If you are lucky enough to find yourself on Hamilton Island in the Whitsundays then Palm Bungalows is the place to stay. It's part of the Reef View Hotel complex but don't be put off with high rise of the hotel. Palm Bungalows sit on a quiet pathway just up from the main building but close enough to access the facilities. Cosy and secluded with plenty of room space. Highlight of our stay was to be able to 'breakfast with the Koalas'. As part of our B & B basis we only had to walk 3 minutes to the Wildlife Cafe an experience the Koalas first hand and close enough to take great photos. You could pay to hold one and have your photo taken but we didnt have to. Transport on the island is by hired golf buggy around the resort and the town! Buses run frequently to and from the town restaurants and the Marina. A great adventure.

Bungalows are fine, prefer them to the hotel rooms and refurb work is going on in the main hotel building. $10 for all the movies is worth it. Breakfast is in the hotel and very good. Price is high but I think just reflects the island generally. There’s only one bar on the whole island with draught beer. The mariners. Hotel bars are characterless and tbh the Mariners isn’t much better. There’s an IGA supermarket an easy walk so you can save a few shillings there. Food and beer on the island is a little pricey but not as bad as expected. The reef world day out is worth it but anywhere else isn’t. Staff were all very good. Never ate in the hotel in the eve. Pool was good, other pools are available. Ask lots of questions as the arrival brief is brief and they just expect you to read the blurb they give you. They defrosted our fridge with the last guests pool towels so there was pubic hair in the fridge, that’s a first! All round I would say the bungalows are a good choice for privacy and space. You don’t need a buggy just use the free busses. I was impressed with the island experience even if it was a bit same same, all well organised and happy and friendly staff everywhere. Wi-fi good enough to stream but there was plenty of newer movies for the 10 bucks. Bats all over at dusk.

All the bungalows have their own hammock on the verandah section and are folded up but are easily unfolded so you can get in them.

I can't speak to this exactly, but knowing the kind of service they provide, I would imagine this won't be a problem! Also, they are VERY quick in answering emails. I wouldn't hesitate to email them with this question. Have a great trip it is amazing!! The stars you see at night is worth the trip alone!

Groceries can be delivered but the off licence doesn't. It's a few minutes walk back and fourth or super quick with a golf cart. You could maybe try the hotel and see if concierge would deliver it for a fee.
