High floors provide the most spectacular views of Catseye Bay (all rooms face this direction). Rooms are spacious and beds comfortable. Staff lovely and very accommodating. Loved the departure lounge with nice bathrooms to get ready for your flight home (better than room bathroom). Food and drinks reasonably priced (for an island hotel) and food delicious! Pool is nice with pool side service. No view of beach from pool but it is close walking distance across the road. Free bus service around the island comes to the front door. Walking distance to Sails restaurant, beach, communal pool with swim-up bar. Great value for money. However.... it is in desperate need of a renovation!! The outside of building is mouldy and not pleasant to look at (needs a clean or painting). Some wood internal furniture fading and marked. The bathrooms are clean and large but very dated with chipped tiles and stained bench tops. Has a bath but was not inviting for a relaxing soak. The hotel is well overdue for a facelift, but for the location, price, quality of food and service it is well priced and worth staying.

We stayed at the reef view hotel for 4 nights and this place needs a major refurbishment and renovation. The rooms are so old and dirty looks like im in a motel not a 4 star hotel. The food at the restaurants are all bland with no flavour and takes 1 hour for your food to come and staff are all over the place and unless you call them over they won't come for 20 minutes after you have sat down. I suggest booking every restaurant and activity before you come to avoid disappointment (including at the marina) we didn't know this and were very limited on what to eat and do. At the hotel No staff around to assist u in anything you need i don't think I spoke to anyone during my time here. All in all a big let down i would definitely not recommendthe reef view hotel. Hamilton island is definitely not what it used to be.

We spent a week in the Reef View hotel. The rooms are very spacious, two Queen Size Beds. Balcony with reef view offers a breathtaking view. The cockatoos are very annoying, relieving themselves on the balcony. The housekeepers left one day the balcony door open after cleaning. When we got home the cockatoos had devastated the room. Opened every sachet / box with editable, they even tried to open a box with playing cards. The breakfast over one week was exceptional good, the service perfect.

We just got back from our 5 days trip there, it is a great holiday place for couples or family. Staff were very friendly. The room and bathroom are both huge. and not to mention the view from the balcony. It was just breath-taking! They're adjusting their buffet breakfast to a la carte style. which means we have to wait to be seated. I understand due to the new regulation, there will be different than it used to. Therefore there is some room for improvement. My only advice is that go to breakfast early! Otherwise there will be a long line to que. Overall it was a really nice stay. My husband and I both enjoyed it and would definitely visit again!

Amazing holiday with multiple families on this wonderful island. We h upgraded from garden view room to sea view and the view was truly spectacular- would never tire of it. We were away with children from the age of 0-8 years old and there was something for everyone. The pools were clean and kid friendly We tried all the restaurants open at this time and were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food. The Sails dinner menu is particularly impressive. Cocktails were delicious. My only complaint would be surviving 7 days of the breakfast chaos. At any time (except bang on 6am when it opens) expect to queue. Sometimes the queue snakes around the lobby. This is of course a transitional hotel buffet breakfast that has been thwarted by Covid-19 rules. There surely has to be a better way of organizing this! At the moment you order buffet food off menu. Despite breakfasting in small family groups- we always had to allow over an hour for breakfast in order to get to any trips in time! It wasn’t unusual to be seated and then for it to take 20-30mins for someone to take your order. Very frustrating with small hungry children! An otherwise perfect holiday

The hotel has available equipment to do so. However there can be stingers in the water during certain times of the year but they also have stinger wetsuits available. There are also tours you can go out on.
