To put it simply - Beach Club (and by extension Hamilton Island, which is almost one large resort in itself) is one of the best, if not the outright leader within Australia and the nearby region. Truly 5 star experience!

Fantastic rooms, service, food and amenities. We couldn't have been looked after better. Well done to all the staff who made our stay so memorable. Right on the beach and as a child free resort there was peace and quiet so we could relax and...More

Sorry, Julia, but I can't recall room numbers. Our room was directly overlooking the pool (which was lovely at night - and the restaurant and pool noise was there but no issue/minimal.) But generally, as the hotel is only two floors, I'd recommend top rooms, as they do have great views and good sized balconies, and easy open stairs access to the ground floor.

Hello I was on Hayman Island when the cyclone hit. I consider myself lucky to be alive, thanks to all the staff at The One and Only resort. I did stay at the Beachclub a couple of days prior to the cyclone. The whole of the Whitsundays have sustained considerable damage. Most of the lush tropical vegetation was flattened I saw Hamilton Island on the Thursday post cyclone and it was greatly effected.
The Staff at the Beachclub will no dought look after you as they are wonderful but will you get a tropical holiday experience that includes all the lovely fauna and flora I am not so sure.
In my opinion It will take a year or so to be back to it's fabulous state.
Possibly the water sports have been effected if the resort lost sails to their catamarans etc, it may be worth asking the resort what's not up and running.
There is also the possibility that the outer reef platoon has also been damaged, as no visit to the wonderful Barrier Reef should be missed, I would also ask the resort if visits to the outer reef and snorkelling are still available.
Hope this helps.
