Needed a quick solo getaway from Melbourne prior to starting a new job and this was perfect. Very glad I upgraded to ocean view room (first floor 201) which I was extremely happy with; large and closest to central facilities. Downside is that I could hear room above so maybe 301 would have been better? All the staff were fabulous... More

Catching the cat over is just the start of an awesome experience, you approach Fitzroy Island and just think yeah this is a bit of me. The view from your suite is just amazing, the staff are all happy, who wouldn't be working here ? Great place, great times.

I have a marketing background so I'm aware that the "first touch" is important. This is the second time we have been to Fitzroy Island so I "thought" I knew what to expect. When you reach the wharf where the ferry leaves from (and this is not easy to find if you haven't used their service before - we were... More

We had a great day on Fitzroy. My daughter enjoyed the ocean trampoline and my husband enjoyed the glass bottom boat tour, and we all enjoyed the beautiful reef where we spent much of the day snorkeling. We saw a lot of fascinating wildlife including sea turtles, sting rays, and large monitors. I definitely recommend visiting Fitzroy if you are... More

There is potential here but the surly staff, smell of the rooms and exorbitant prices drags it down to a disappointment. I do wish it could have been better. It needs a major change. While not part of the resort, beware the staff on the ferry too. There are some attitudesthere which questions why these people are in hospitality.

Had a restful, lovely week. On the island. Snorkelling superb, turtles, stingray and sharks all seen from the beach. The turtle rehab unit was interesting. The accommodation was superb with very comfortable beds. The only down side was lack of shade around the pool and for the size of resort not enough loungers, but this did not spoil the week... More

We planned to stay here for a couple of nights for our holiday. Unfortunately because of the limited information provided we lost the first night. Besides the lack of information they where very unhelpful resolving the issue of the missing night. The quality of the resort was awful the island itself however was great. would strongly recommend not staying and... More

Had a 5 night stay for my wife's birthday. The location is great, beach is ALL coral so don't expect soft sand, but this is north Queensland so for those in other countries, it's like saying if you go to Alaska in winter, it'll probably be cold. The water at the beack was crystal clear and the fish were amazing.... More

Stayed for four days for my wife's birthday. The staff could not have been more courteous. The GM himself went out of his way to assist us with special requests we had. Stayed in an ocean view suite - very spacious, well appointed, and most comfortable, with all mod cons (included full oven and microwave, fridge, etc.). Breakfasts were excellent.... More

A group of us visited the resort recently and whilst it has heaps of potential, it has been let down by poor maintenance. For example, our room was very musty smelling and took several hours with the aircon to remove the smell. Secondly, the place was infested with cockroaches. I mentioned this to the cleaning staff who seemed to be... More
