Hilton Surfers Paradise Hotel & Residences garners mixed reviews, with its central location near the beach and attractions being highly regarded by guests. While the views and pools are often praised, the hotel's atmosphere is compromised by loud music, and some guests have called out noise disturbances. Opinions on the rooms vary, with comfort and views appreciated but noise and maintenance issues detracting from the experience. Service feedback is polarized, with reports of both friendly staff and instances of rudeness. Criticisms include high costs and questioned value, as well as occasional lapses in cleanliness.

Dear Hilton Team,

I wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for the exceptional experience my family and I had during our recent stay at your hotel. Your team truly embodies the essence of 5-star service, and we are in awe of the dedication and effort each team member puts into making guests feel at home.

A special shoutout goes to Chinna, whose outstanding hospitality made a significant impact on our stay. He went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of our stay was perfect, and we believe he truly deserves the Employee of the Month award.

Your Concierge team, led by Warren, was an invaluable resource throughout our stay. They expertly assisted us with various queries and made arrangements for rental cars, providing us with information on local eateries, and ensuring that our needs were met at every turn.

I'd also like to extend my gratitude to the Korean staff member whose name slipped my mind, but whose warmth and dedication left a lasting impression on us.

Manager Lucas's special arrangements were greatly appreciated, adding a personal touch that made our stay even more memorable.
The buffet breakfast was a delightful treat, offering a variety of delicious options. While the current choices were satisfying, a wider selection would undoubtedly make it even better. The breakfast pricing strategy you've implemented makes perfect sense, offering great value for those looking to indulge in the hotel's culinary offerings.

The friendliness of your staff, the cleanliness and efficiency of housekeeping, and the remarkable teamwork evident throughout the hotel all deserve a solid 5-star rating.

I do have a couple of suggestions for improvement. During our stay, we encountered a challenge with the internet, which impacted our ability to access TV and important emails. It provided an unintended tech break for the kids, but staying connected for essential matters was challenging. Additionally, my son fell ill during our stay, and we were surprised to find that the hotel did not have a spare thermometer in its first aid supplies. Including basic medical items like a thermometer in the first aid kit would be a thoughtful addition.

Your hotel's location couldn't have been better – being in the heart of the city with easy access to Coles, Woolworths, and various eateries made our stay incredibly convenient. The proximity to Timezone was a hit with my son!

In conclusion, my family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hilton. The impeccable service provided by your amazing team truly turned your hotel into a home away from home for us. We look forward to visiting again in the future and experiencing your exceptional hospitality once more.

Stayed for an extended time from Christmas 19 to just after New Year in an apartment. Close location to the beach, shopping and very loud clubs that thump, thump and doff, doff every night till 3.30 in the morning. Very annoying. The concierge staff were great, professional, very helpful and friendly (Thank You TOM). The house keeping were also great although worked off their feet. Reception was efficient and made admin stressless to navigate. The management need to rethink their policy with servicing long stay apartments! Changing linen every 3 days is ok, But towels and general service of the apartment needs to be every day or every second day. I did not pay to be told that if I want full rubbish bins emptied there is a shute on each floor I can do it myself? Definately a tourist hotel with crowds during the holiday season. The restuarant was good value and the service was excellant (thank you Peter). The apartment was reasonable, although a bit tired and could do with a good clean. Management please note that your bed linen is poorly fitting to the beds and really need to be renewed, not just washed untill thread bare. There was a coffee shop in the Reception area? Was closed for the entire period? peak time and no coffee shop for clients, very strange? All in all a pleasent stay, not the great stay that I had hoped for but with effort from management could be better.

Great holiday book down in Gold Coast near surfer paradise. This is the two bedrooms residence suites with ocean view. Is such a beautiful view from here.
The room beds is so comfy and clean, is suitable for family or group of friend to comes, it can fits in 5 peoples and extra sofa bed in the living room.
The bad might just you would heard Alots voice and noisy because is in centre of busy city as well.
The rooms have provide the laundry washing machine and dryer, is very convenient and you can save time for after holiday to do your laundry.
Area is very convenient to walk all around here, beach is not far as well, restaurant and all entertainment at night is so close from here.
Here have the parking as well and you just have to check in first and park in the parking space as the staff will be give you the guide which is for hotel guests. Per night is just 20 au and much cheaper than outside parking area.
The staff is kind and helpful.
Level 1 is the restaurant for breakfast buffet and per person would be 39 au.
Indoor swimming pool is open for the guest now.

I am staying in Hilton Hotel Surfers Paradise at the moment. Based on my experience so far, I would never agree that this hotel is a 5 star.

I booked a 'King Relaxation Suite' which is the biggest room in this hotel. I was given a room on the 7th floor, the view is not the best even though the hotel is quite close to the beach. The room is facing the ocean however there are too many obstacles(other buildings and apartments etc) between hotel and the beach and you can only see a glimpse of the ocean.
So it is never a 'full ocean view' and I'm skeptical if it was worth paying extra $$$ for the obstructed ocean view.
If you're obsessed with views, better choose somewhere else.

The room itself is pretty good. Maybe it is quite small to be a suite however it is still pretty spacious and also had a good sized bathroom. However when we checked in, some food scraps were left on the carpet and window was stained with kids’ hand marks. There was no 'Do Not Disturb' sign available.

Next morning we stayed in the room, so when a housekeeping lady knocked the door I asked her to come back at 3 pm. When we came back at late night, I noticed someone had dropped by as the air conditioner was on and lights were off.
Shockingly, I also noticed dirty towels were still left in the bathroom and bed was not made at all. Room wasn't cleaned either, everything was left as it was when we left the room. The only things housekeeper did were turning lights off and turning air conditioning on to freeze the room at 16 degrees celsius!

I don't intend to blame any particular housekeeping staff, I'm saying there is clearly lack of internal communication.

My room came with lounge access. I knew that the lounge was under construction for a long time, but no other options were explained during checkin. I had to ask around where/how we can have snack/breakfast. The temporary lounge was located on the 1st floor but was only open 5-7 pm. Food and drinks in the lounge was pretty good.
Breakfast was served in the main restaurant and food options were very basic and quality of food was just average.

Overall I was not happy with my stay. The hotel is centrally located and close to many amenities however, like many other reviews mentioned, there is street noise especially at late night. Also service level doesn't live up to a 5 star hotel.

If you're after a quiet and cozy stay with attentive service provided, this is not the best option.

My family and I stayed within the serviced apartments for 3 nights during the first week of the new year and I can firmly say this is the worst Hilton I’ve been at. While the staff were friendly and clearly working hard to meet high traffic, the hotel’s design and management policies are clearly not meeting needs.

The rooms were not serviced during our stay, nor were the rooms up to usual Hilton standards. Orange and black mold stains all over the bathroom. Shower doors didn’t close. Leftover tags and food scraps from the prior guests. A very heavy metal door hanger that literally dropped off when I touched it, smacking my foot quite painfully. Some of the plugs didn’t work. The lighting was also inconsistent, with the living room very dim. We asked to have all these looked at and fixed but were unresolved. The staff brought in an additional light to help with the last issue, which was a helpful touch.

The elevators were consistently a 10+ minute wait. Elevator speed and size were clearly not sufficient to accommodate the volume of guests. Also I noticed that several groups were coming in with 10+ people, which likely put additional strain on facilities during peak holiday times. I would suggest management more carefully monitors which guests are actually eligible for stay.

The pools were largely unusable. Pool towels were almost always depleted and there were children running around, yelling and splashing unchecked. Hilton advertises four pools and indeed there were - 1 big outdoor, 2 small outdoor, 1 small indoor. I would suggest dedicating two of the smaller pools as non-children.

Finally, the complimentary WiFi was virtually unusuable - couldn’t even send an email so just went with cellular. Would warn against any expectations to get work done on this WiFi.

I say these not to crap on Hilton on an absolute basis, as I think the hotel is still passable but obviously overpriced for this experience. But rather, just to point out that it’s not up to Hilton standards and so best to not expect such when booking. I’ve stayed across the Hilton portfolio of brands (doubletree, Hilton, Conrad, Waldorf) and have stayed loyal because the hotels are usually good value for money. This one was not the case.

I have stayed here numerous times but last two times no housekeeping has been provided. Before my most recent booking I double checked to see if house keeping was included and my Hilton Honours advised that daily house keeping was included. Upon checking staff advised housekeeping is upon request with no mention of 24 hour notice policy which is in the fine print of checkin that no one ever reads. When my husband requested it we were told house keeping us not included with the residence and its $65 if we want it done. I called back and advised our documentations says it is. They then informed me that it has to be requested 24 hours in advance or else you pay $65 per day for house keeping. They charge an additional $20 per night for parking. With a two bedroom costing $450 per night in a 5 star hotel you would think these basic amenities would be included. The sofa was full of stains, the balcony was really dirty and their heated pool was really cold one day and under maintenance the second day of our stay during peak holiday season. An extremely disappointing stay and will never stay here again. Staff are also rude, unprofessional and not courteous. Anyone paying that much would be better off staying somewhere newer, cleaner and with better services.

We stayed in the second top room. On check in we weren’t told that they do not service your room daily as would be expected in a hotel of this caliber. On the mirror in the bathroom was a notice that advised to contact reception if we wanted your room cleaned but this did not state they required 24 hours notice and reception staff were rude when we checked this. We used the bbq facilities there one night and had to ask 3 times and wait over 30 minutes for someone to come and clean the plate from the previous person who had used it that day. The hotel is old and tired, with stains on the carpets and the lift floors are constantly dirty. The dining room floor was sticky everyday. Communication between different areas is lacking. Dining room staff said they were open, reception said the dining room was closed and the new Margots bar said the dining room was closed closed. When booking, I checked if any areas were closed and assured that everything was open with the exception of the executive lounge being moved to the dining room. This lounge is supposed to be able to be accessed all day for snacks and drinks. This was not the case, the executive lounge was only available for canapés at night, and you could only be there for an hour.....there was a kids club that we weren’t told about at check in, and only discovered the night before we left. We had a mum with two kids, holiday it with us that could have used this to have some time on her own. The street below is very noisy as the hotel is a Main Street with lots of nightclubs. There was no social distancing in the dining room, elevators etc, despite hand sanitiser and signs on the floor etc. lifts are painfully slow, often having to wait 20 minutes to get them to come to your floor....we were very aware that things would be different With Covid but this hotel just didn’t have it together at all. Have never stayed at a Hilton before but have stayed in many high end hotels and this was not what I expected from thus hotel, won’t be staying again

Well, giving the Hilton in this location its star rating needs to be looked at. Turned up and walked into the room and the bed looked as if someone just got out of it. The next day at 11am we asked for the room to be cleaned, fresh linen and toilet paper and towels provided. At 3pm this was not done so we politely asked again. Came back at almost 6pm and the promise was still not delivered. We were assured after our drinks in the Executive Lounge our room would be serviced. It was not to be, at 8pm when the room had still not been touched we were told housekeeping had left and there was nothing they could do...

May seem small but the Hilton has been long standing five star Hotel and unfortunately this particular one has well and truly dropped the standard to that of a two star. Will not be back.

Stayed 6 nights at the Hilton hotel on surfers paradise, and it did not live up to the name.

From check-in the experience was well below what you would expect from a “good hotel”. Upon asking for a recommendation of restaurants in the area (as a travelling tourists), the reply given was short and concise, “sorry I don’t go out much, I’m not aware of anything around here”. The check-in was overly slow and the overall services was virtually non-existent. It was like drawing blood out of a stone, with very little help or assistance given regarding “what we can do during our stay on the Gold Coast”, Very poor to say the least. The staff need to at least know the bare minimum of the area.

For the entirety of the stay, we had a rental vehicle and parked it at the hotel. This was relatively straight forward (If you know where to go), however the smell in the car park was repulsive. (A somewhat sewage type smell), Not an ideal way to enter a hotel that you are about to stay in.

The room itself was spacious and had a generous balcony, however some furnishings were loose in the bathroom along with lights that would flicker on and off and little to no ventilation.

Location of the hotel, is pretty convenient with the beach a 5 minute walk (max) and most of the main stream franchises at the doorstep.

It wasn’t all bad, the attentiveness of housekeeping was spot on, as you would expect from a hotel of this calibre, bringing some positivity to the stay. Along with some exceptional staff at the lobby cafe (Ashleigh).

To summarise the above, we had told the front desk about our experiences and had no follow up, which suggest no care or consideration from management. (Most likely no profile notes were taken either by front desk staff). Disappointing to say the least.

We had a very pleasant stay in Hilton Surfers Paradise. The room in general is very nice with high ceiling & very good view, bed is comfy, clean & big. They have good selection of breakfast with an area for kiddies’ menu of which my baby girl enjoyed. Great location as it’s in the center of everything. Restaurants/bars and shopping stores are just at the foot of the hotel. Great for party people. A few mins. walk to the beautiful beach. Very close to tram station. Great stay for family.
I’m not impressed with the pool tho..plus pushing our own luggage in the room didn’t give us the luxury we expected especially coming from a long drive. So, get ready to use some of your muscles when you check-in & don’t judge the minimally lit & under decorated hotel reception until you reach your room. 😜
Overall, we had a great time & great NYE. Great Hotel experience. 👌

In the room where we stayed, the noise into the early hours of the morning was certainly an issue. The nightclub continued until about 3 am. Maybe, they can give you a room away from that side. Good luck!

Hello, we stayed 7 to 11 April and strongly recommend you change hotels. We were in the 22nd floor the fastest time for the elevator was 12 mins and longest time 45 mins.the hotel is full of inebriated people, that share the elevator with you. We checked out early and stayed somewhere else due to the poor facilities and management by the Hilton.
