Having stayed at the Opal Cove when it was new, I have found that the place is a little tired. The staff are great but the premises is showing signs of wear.If you can swing it, get the rooms on level two. The rooms on level one facing the Pacific Hwy are a little musty. I'm sure it has something... More

This resort is quite comfortable, but is a bit tired & in need of some love & attention. The rooms are a nice size and the views of the ocean are special. The breakfast was adequate without being great. There was nothing that stuck out to make my stay unpleasant, it was just that it needs a makeover.

This is a soulless and dated resort from the 1980's. The rooms are clean enough but overall very poor. The check-in & out staff really don't care. A room service meal was delivered without condiments. Not even salt & pepper. The bar/Restaurant is poorly lit and understaffed. Bulbs have blown all over the resort and not been replaced giving areas... More

Don't let the resort title fool you. This place is really dated and being run down. There is no restaurant, just a bistro, and it is ordinary. There were a few weddings while we were there with fireworks going off at midnight, and drunks under the window for an hour. One positive thing was the bed was really comfortable. Wouldn't stay... I stayed here for three nights on business in the area. The room was ok, nothing special. The breakfast was ok but nothing to rave about. I didn't use any facilities as I had no time to do so. I had no bad experience as other talk about on trip advisor but the place it nothing special at all.

Looks like it would have been a really nice resort back in the 1980's. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like they have spent enough money on up keep, seems a bit run down. Very friendly staff, clean rooms great breakfast.

One bedroom. This room was advertised to accomodate children (informed staff there were two babies with porta-cots). The rooms did manage to fit the cots however no other room. The room was also dated and the shower/bath contained mould. Small TV in room. The room was located at the furtherst point to the lift making it very difficult to carry... More

Rooms need updating General appearance of resort (term used loosely ) appears dated. Breakfast very ordinary & over priced. Staff excellent. A number of clients complained to management over deals offered to them & apparently these were not honoured So if you decide to go there get any offers in writing.

The resort is a long way out from Coff's Harbour. It is a big resort. On arrival the entrance lobby is huge, impersonal and unwelcoming. The lobby has open access to the lower floors containing a games area with machines, pool table etc. the bar and access to the pools. There is a waterfall that just adds to the chaotic... More
