Our second year in a row at Hibiscus Resort & Spa, Reception staff are friendly and helpful (thank you Scott). Buffet breakfast is very good. The one-bedroom apartment was clean and quiet, although a tad dated. There were two particular improvements on last year - linen change after five nights and garden maintenance. We look forward to returning next year.

The Hibiscus Resort has a lovely ambience, staff very welcoming and helpful. If you want a relaxing holiday this is the perfect place. Start the day with continental breakfast by the pool followed by a stroll to the beach for a walk/swim. On return to the resort grab a book and head to the beautiful pool, grab a day bed...

We had a wonderful time here. Location is great, nice and central to the shops and the beach. Breakfast was included around a lovely pool area. Only downside is both laundries were out of service and I was pointed politely to the laundromat about 15 mins walk away.

Breakfast included is a winner and by the pool each morning it is a great way to start each day. 1 minute to the beach, 30 seconds to the main street of town, in a quiet street itself. The rooms were nice, and the spa bath was great.

I recently stayed at Hibiscus and had a wonderful time! The location is perfect. A block from the main street, a block from the mariner and a block from the beach. Perfect. On the days when we didn't feel like going anywhere, Hibiscus was a nice spot to laze about and soak up the sun, swim and relax. The back...

We are glad to have chosen this central accommodation. We have a balcony overlooking the pool with a pleasant garden and places to sit. The staff are really friendly and helpful with tours and information. It is one block to the beach and close to everything you could want. You do not need a car here.

So glad we chose to stay at Hibiscus. My son picked it as he thought it looked "pretty chill" and loved the Balinese look and feel of the resort. He was spot on. We stayed last week in a one bedroom apartment on the first floor overlooking the smaller pool area. The apartment was the perfect size for us and...

Reception staff were very friendly. All rooms appear to have a balcony with views of the garden or pool. Good position, walking distance to restaurants and shops. Enjoyed breakfasts by the pool which were included. I am not convinced it was worth $250 per night but Port Douglas is an expensive destination.

Location is great. Don't try to use the cooktops though as it sets of the fire alarm and the fire brigade will turn up apparently. So why advertise rooms that are self contained? I had already gone an bought bacon, eggs, bread etc for breakfast but couldn't cook.

Thank Helen G
