We stayed at port Douglas retreat for 3nights. We was greeted in a lovely way and the couple who run it are very approachable and knowledgeable. Our room had a tree view, there was a little balcony you can sit out on. The room was clean and comfortable. Kitchen area had everything you needed. Aircon was great but also there...

This hotel does not have daily room service but I found that this offered privacy. I could leave my stuff around without knowing that someone would be in my space. Quite different but refreshing. Not the fault of the hotel, it was a short walk to main drag where restaurants and shops abound. I am not a shopper so while...

Place was mostly clean. Simple room with basic kitchen facilities. Comfortable bed. Had a decent balcony view over trees and the street that still kept the room fairly private. Managers kindly provided DVD player on request. The only downside to this place is that it's not serviced during your stay (ie no cleaners or change of linen). Location was 2...

Really enjoyed our stay here. First the staff are amazing. So helpful and nice. Rooms are dated but they add some nice touches to freshen them up. Decent kitchenette (no oven, but with two burner cooktop and microwave). No coffee maker so have to use instant. Nice pool area. Easy stroll into downtown.

Price was relatively low, but we just wanted a clean, nice place close to town center. We were there for 3 days to tour the reef and Queensland. (Many tours leave from Port Douglas so it made more sense for us to stay here than in Cains.) Could not have been happier with the resourt. Easy walk (two blocks) to...

Great location, within walking distance of the centre. Quiet and tranquil with lots of greenery. Lovely pool area with sunloungers, a bbq and tables & chairs. The rooms were large and clean with comfy beds. Plenty of seating in the sitting area and the kitchen area had most things needed to make a basic meal. Overall the bathrooms are a...

We grabbed a quick week here recently to escape the dreadful weather in Victoria. Had a great time in basic but terrific rooms. The rooms are of reasonable size, bathroom quite big and the added kitchenette a bonus to prepare breakfast or very light meals. The outdoor BBQ area is beautifully kept, two BBQs, fridge, tables and chairs, lounges, toilets...

Stayed there for 5 nights and was pleasantly surprised at how nice it was. This accommodation was great value for money. The rooms were very nice and had all the essential kitchen items. We had 5GB of WiFi which was plenty. At times it was a bit slow, however we managed to watch a few shows on Netflix using it....

I stayed here for 3 nights just doing a quick trip and reconnaissance mission of the area. I would not call the resort 4 star but the room was nice and clean and roomy. I spent most days exploring but to come back to air con or a nice hotel pool was relaxing. Town only took 5mins on a slow...
