Tropic Towers may not be the ritziest of hotels, but it is very warm, welcoming and friendly. The pool is wonderful and very clean and the staff are very helpful Angela is a gem. self contained apartments make it very comfortable for families and the price is reasonable.

We had a great 3 night stay in a 2 bedroom apartment. . All the staff were lovely and extremely helpful. It was a close walk to the esplanade and the restaurant across the road was very handy for a relaxed dinner. Take the kids scooters and you are a 5 min scoot to a skate park and play grounds.

Located inbetween the airport (20min walk) and town (30min). The appartments are clean fairly large and has a fridge, oven, microwave and tv. 250mb internet is free but you have to pay $12 for an extra Gb. Only criticisms are that foxtel is advertised but not availible in some rooms, can be a bit noisy if you're on the road...

We took a 2-bedroomed unit for 3 of us to support our son in the Ironman race. The property was value for money, although quite a distance from Cairns centre. We took cabs for 3 trips, since we were following the race. As others have said, the furniture is dated - the cane furniture reminded us of our visits to...

We stayed here overnight while waiting for our flight to Uluru in May. The rooms were very clean and tidy and had all the basic items, but there are a few things to be considerate of if you are wanting to book here. We had a small baby and being underneath the FLIGHT PATH for the airport became a little...

Where is the foxtel as advertised outside building, where is the bedroom tv - no swivel from lounge to bedroom? No ice on arrival and large dirty stains on carpet, very disappointing! No individual control on aircon! Grrr

This apartment hotel is located 5-10 minutes by car from the airport, but quite a long way from the real city centre (around 30-45 minutes walk from Esplanade). There is no catering in the hotel but there are one or two good places across the street to eat out. Our apartment with two bedrooms, living room, bathroom, balcony and a...

Staff are enormously friendly and helpful. They will certainly go the extra mile to make you feel comfortable and cared for. Very clean place The decor is a little dated, but the cleanliness and friendliness of the staff make up for that. It's a 20-30 minutes walk from the town centre , on a rather noisy main street, that's the...

Nothing flash but you get what you pay for. Spacious 2 bedroom apartments with all the basics and a nice pool. Great for families and is close to everything. Great tavern for dinner literally over the road. Downsides where it's on the main road and our shower was not great to say the least. However everything was nice and clean.

If you get in late then you have to get your keys from a wall safe which is annoying if you are tired and have a lot of luggage. The lift is slow and not air-conditioned, neither are the hallways. The apartments are spacious and clean, but take some time to cool down. The bed is comfortable and pillows soft....
