This place is being run down by its owners prior to demolition. It has had pretty much all maintenance stopped. I really feel for the staff who were friendly and helpful. I was meant to stay for two nights but only stayed for one. I didn’t feel safe. Lights flicked, stains on curtains, walls and floor. It is terrible. See photos.

I have never seen accommodation as bad as this place. Pool had a slimy film floating on top and black on the bottom, not at all like the website photos. Rooms were dirty and disgusting. Curtains were all stained, carpet was stained. Bathroom had soap scum and mould all over the glass....and the best bit....that was the mouse poo on the bed that was blown out by the airconditioner we put on to try and refresh the stinky smelly room! tried calling reception on several occasions and looking for someone before leaving and paying for alternate accommodation elsewhere as this place was unsuitable for habitation. Now they refuse to refund citing we should have asked to see another room...pity their housekeeper told us when she called to give us the safe number to get our key card that there is no reception or any one on site!! all calls have gone unanswered to this day and consumer affairs have been contacted to report.....STAY AWAY!!!!

This would have to be the worst place I have ever stayed it is very unhealthy and just absolutely disgusting to the point that we basically walked in then walked out there was no way we were going to sleep there. First of all as soon as we walked into the building all you could smell was cigarette smoke and Marijuana the carpet was disgusting ripped and probably has never seen a vacuum we walked into our room and it was so strong of smoke and there was something blowing out of the aircon the patio door was unlocked and opened there were holes in the wall that were freshly patched and I mean holes everywhere there was a massive stain on the carpet I believe there was a murder, the bathroom bench looked like it was going to fall off the toilet had the seal on it yet there was toilet paper in the toilet and some white stuff, the bed sheets didn’t look clean they had white crusty stuff on them and it looked like someone had been laying on the bed, the towels smell and had crusty stuff on them and they were that small it would never have dried anyone it is so bad and we are currently trying to get a refund if I could rate it 0 I would. I currently now have a really sore throat and I believe if we stayed we probably would have died. I also think someone is cooking meth in that building.

We had travelled from the Gold Coast to Cairns for our fathers funeral with other family members. Unfortunately we did not read reviews prior to booking as our other family members had booked there and we decided to stay there to be close to them. Well, this has to be the absolute worst accommodation we’ve encountered ever. Checking was via email instructions as the reception is only open 9am to 12noon each day. Their excuse was due to Covid lockdown…. There wasn’t a lockdown at all. Walking upstairs you could see water damage. The smell was putrid, like a urinal. Opening the door to our room it was all dark with curtains closed. Turned light on to reveal the room. Curtains were stained. Fridge was rusted and filthy, used 3-4 antiseptic wipes to get the outside even remotely clean. Husband used at least another 5 wipes to clean down the bathroom. Shared balcony with the neighbours??? I managed to find a housekeeper (who was actuality helpful) snd we managed to move rooms. Well, that was only marginally better, still shared balcony, fridge and kitchenette surfaces unclean, fridge didn’t even work, leaked everywhere. We stayed the night then we’re informed the next morning we had to move out of the room as it had been booked by someone else. Well that was enough for us. We decided to find alternative accommodation. Requested a refund from our booking agent who were unable to do so as there is not refund policy from the accommodation. You just have to read the other reviews and see the photos from others who’ve had the displeasure staying there. THIS PLACE MUST BE AVOIDED AT ALL COSTS.

We arrived to check in at a reasonable time - about 6:30pm - but the front reception area was locked and closed. Instructions posted on the door gave us an 'after hours' number to call to check in, which we promptly called, only to find out that they had lost our fully paid reservation from hotels dot c o m. After spending nearly 30 minutes on the phone with after hours reception, we were told there was nothing they could do and that they had no record of our reservation. We were forced to look elsewhere during the busy school holiday season even after having paid for the room in full several weeks in advance of our stay. However, even now nearly two weeks later, we are still struggling with Cairns Southside International and our booking company to get a refund and an explanation for the lost reservation. Cairns Southside International management has been reluctant to respond to communication from our booking company to get to the bottom of the issue and has not conducted an investigation into how the reservation was lost. While I can't comment on the quality of the room we paid for, the terrible 'after hours' check-in process, the ridiculously-early closure of the front desk at 6pm, the lost reservation, and the hotel's location in a rough part of town are reasons never to book with this business again.

This would have to be the worst place I have ever had the displeasure of staying at. Booked for 3rd April through Agoda, checked Agoda's reviews and they weren't too bad.....should have checked other sites and heed the warnings not to stay there. This cess pitt was disgustingly filthy, I didn't want to touch a thing. If I had of had money to stay somewhere else I would have left immediately. The whole place smells, broken glass panel to the entrance door with a manky dirty towel next to the door with god knows what on it was the first welcome sign. The toilet in the room smelt like vomit, cockroaches, screwed up blanket from previous guest....or guests, who knows if they ever clean it. Multiple hole repairs on walls and doors., smoke detector covered in a plastic bag (is this even legal?), dirty walls......did I mention the smell!!!! Air conditioner didn't work, the list goes on. Thank goodness I had my own beach towel with me as there was no way I was going to use one of the provided stained towels. I also used the 'then' damp beach towel after my shower as my blanket to keep warm in bed as goodness knows where the provided screwed up blanket in the cupboard has been. I did not feel at all safe in this room, Within 5 minutes of being in the room had a guy from next door banging on our door telling us to stay away from the door....we had a 'shared' balcony he did not want us on. I have never heard of a shared balcony before, definitely not mentioned in the ads. Says it s a business class 4 star hotel. Not sure what business that would be but this cess pitt would be lucky to get 1 star. I feel as though I was tricked. This place needs to be burnt down and they should have paid me to stay there. Tried to put review on Agoda which was the booking platform but it appears they don't publish real review. Hotel reception not open when checked in. Have sent 2 emails to the hotel directly and have received no reply. Avoid this place like the plague!!

The most disgusting motel you will EVER stay in. We had dirty sheets (pee stains and animal hair) and dirty rooms. Stinks of cigarette smoke and overall putrid smell in the rooms. People smoking in hallways. Pubic hairs in bath tub. Other people’s rubbish and food still in the rooms. Blood stains on curtains. Rats running around premises. No staff on site to help. All you get is after hours number for people in a different town. You even get given keys to rooms that people are living in. Didn’t feel safe. We found other accommodation and now won’t refund us the money we paid for when we didn’t even stay there.

Do not book accomodation with this hotel, it is a disgrace. We arrived 31/12/20 to be advised our booking wasn't valid because we requested an extra bed. After finding Cairns was fully booked we had no option but to stay. When arriving at the room we found a shamble, disgusting mess with rubbish in the halls and people smoking in the complex. Smoke alarms covered and windows not secured. We have tried 8 times now to speak to the owner/manager who does not take calls.
