Dear Karen D, Thank you for your review. It sounds like your experience started off with a great first impression, however I am sorry that you were let down by your room, as well as the corridors on your floor. Our Mercure hotel rooms are currently under renovation, starting from the bottom up! The look of the rooms is much...

Mercure KGS has to be the best value for money in the Brisbane CBD area. It's a solid 4 stars, has good enough rooms and facilities, a very good restaurant and bar (including a rooftop bar), is VERY convenient to the city and a 15 minute stroll across to Southbank. The service is more like a 5 star hotel with...

Very quiet rooms but in the heart of the city. Friendly staff and a great breakfast. Will be staying again. Some renovations occurring around the pool area but not an inconvenience. Restaurant staff in particular were very friendly and helpful.

The Mercure at King George Square is getting on in years but management offer rooms that are comfortable, clean and great value for money being in the heart of the city. The bed was very comfortable and the room is adequate for short term stays. Breakfast provided in the Allure Restaurant was very good. Staff in all departments are friendly...

Have had better Mercure experiences, but staff were great. The check in and later response to queries was excellent. The room seemed on the small side, but I guess with two double beds that is to be expected. We would have preferred more windows (there was one plus one with blinds in the bathroom) and were disappointed the windows were...

Stayed at the Mercure for 2 nights for business. Room was a bit tired and in need of a renovation. Not enough power points close to desk and hard to find. Bed good. Aircon worked well and adjusted easily.

I stayed there for 3 nights in December. I arrived around mid-night. I was so impressed by the check-in experience. Everything was so smooth and the envelop containing all the documents I needed was ready. It took me only 5 mins to finish the entire check-in procedure. The room was clean and tidy. The housekeeper was very friendly as well....

I almost had a faultless stay in this hotel, the only reason why it became 9.5/10 is that I was told after picking up my luggage on the way to the airport from a business meeting that the the hotel is not supposed to hold luggages once you have checked out??? The reception area is very smart and I was hoping for good things, but our room was distinctly average. What a shame that the windows are so small in the room (and tucked into the corner) that you need to have the lights on most of the time. Storage was good, pillows were bad.
