I first stayed in Aussie way as a backpacker in 2011. I went for 3 nights and ended up staying a month. It is in a great location and most of the rooms have only 4 beds in them so it feels quiet and safe. The hostel seems to attract friendly people, both long term backpackers and people visiting for...

I stayed at Aussie Way for 4 of nights in a double room with my husband. All in all, we enjoyed our stay there. The swimming pool is very nice, the outside area has a massive roof which doesn't look so good but I suppose it helps to have one for super sunny and/or rainy days. The hostel is divided...

Hello AnnaTK88. Thank you for leaving a review; we're glad that you enjoyed your stay. As for the stove: it was new and we were completely unaware that it wasn’t working until a guest informed us at the desk and we immediately replaced it with another one from our store room. People are happily boiling eggs now. It would’ve been...

Me and partner have recently stayed at Aussie way and enjoyed every minute of our time there. When we arrived, we were greeted by a very friendly welcoming member of staff who checked us in and showed us to our lovely room. The room we stayed in was very clean, the bed was so comfortable and we also had our...

This hostel was a very quiet and welcoming one. Staff are super friendly, and as I stayed here for more than a month, I became good friends with them. The owner was helpful and friendly, we often saw her. It has a nice homely atmosphere, and long stayers are welcoming to new guests. Everyone is just so super friendly, it's...

I stayed at Aussie Way for a week and I really enjoyed my time there. Apparently the outside area has been renovated recently and it looks very nice and tidy, there's a BBQ and a pool (small but clean). Staff was very friendly and when i had problems connecting to the wifi they helped me and fixed it, which I...

Hello Dinabird00, thank you very much for your review. We indeed renovated the place some months ago and now we have a roof over our outside area and an updated fence that keeps us sheltered from neighbours. As for WIFI: we have indeed endeavoured to make it a better service, and we have recently decided to give WIFI available to...

As hostels go, this is average. Basic bunk beds, kitchen, living area, info on walls. But there are quite a few long term stayers which makes the atmosphere a bit crap as they weren't welcoming to new guests. Location OK. Owner is nice. Didn't go in pool.

Hello Charlotteahoward, Thank you for leaving a review. We're sorry to hear that our long-term guests weren't very welcoming, but there is not much that we as a hostel can do about that. The only thing we can do is keep the amount of long-stayers low, which is already our policy. I see that you came here in November, so...

If you are staying in a double room, you will be staying at the house behind the main building where the first floor is shared with 4 other couples. There was only one toilet and one bathroom so we had to take turns. The kitchen was small so any time where two parties are trying to cook/prepare food, it gets...

Thank you for leaving a review, Neminskii,- you bring up some valid points. The renovations are about done at this point, so now we have a nice undercover area and a new entertainment room -- no more mess! We apologize that this was underway whilst you were staying here. We also apologize for the state of the pool. This was...

We stopped here for only one night before travelling further north. It was however, a super little hostel: Clean, quiet, great communal areas, powerful showers and small, but cosy rooms. Great value for money in Australia. The location is excellent: an approx 8 minute walk to the train station and 15 mins from the main shopping area of city. The...

I had so many issues with this hostel it's hard to know where to begin. When I got to my room, it was clear it hadn't been cleaned for a while. Hello SilentShadow101. I notice that you stayed here over half a year ago. Since then, we've undergone many changes,- one of them is a wifi-upgrade. It's better than it used to be, but it's hard to get into all the corners of so big a building. We intend to move our office soon and we'll try to get the wifi...
