On first arriving at Kookaburra, you can be forgiven for thinking you are in the wrong place. It is not commercial at all. It looks like an ordinary house, but the hostel is downstairs, the rooms are very clean as is everywhere. It's a very quiet area and close to the city and the Valley. A very good price for... More

This motel was in a quiet area but only 10 minute walk from Central or Fortitude Valley train stations. Bus stops were even closer. Facilities and room were clean and tidy. Shared kitchen, lounge, toilet and shower. We enjoyed our stay and would use it again

I loved the location of the hotel. Close to the city yet away from the hustle and bustle of it. It looks like a private property converted into a hotel. So you will have a homely feeling. Rooms were clean and well maintained. Bathrooms/toilets are shared yet very tidy. Shared kitchen facility is also there with all necessary utensils/crockery and... More

I stayed two nights at Kookaburra Inn and was very satisfied. My private room had a single bed and a sink, as well as a window and shelves. The shared shower and toilets were kept clean and almost always available. The shared kitchen was small, but had everything I needed for quick meals. The back courtyard is a great place... More

Real value for money. Also very flexible with check-in / check-out times. Highly convenient location within walking distance of the city centre or Fortitude Valley for shops, sightseeing, restaurants and pubs

We did stay for three nights at Kookaburra Inn and it is a great place to stay if you want to discover Brisbane. Only a short walk to lots of nice places in the city. The hotel itself is simple but clean. The owners are very kind and helpful. Read other reviews for more details. Considering the price we think... More

I found this budget accommodation perfect for one night visiting the city before going to the airport. The guest house is colorful and with nice details. The person who received me was a very lovely lady. There is a nice big dog. The room is small but there is everything you need, fridge, fan, a desk, a sink. One could... More

It was clean and comfortable, including the shared bathroom. It was the perfect place to rest my head at night for a couple of days in Brisbane. It was also close to the main city centre and the river and a 5 minute walk to a supermarket, so excellent location. I would stay there again.

My girlfriend and I stayed here for about a week when first arriving to travel QLD. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful (to the point where they helped me in my search buying a campervan and understanding the state vehicle registration etc). we had a double room which had a fridge/ freezer, sink and wardrobe. the showers are big...
