I think you have to come here with the mindset that it’s in the middle of the desert. It’s not Sydney. There’s dirt, bugs, galahs, flies, heat, everything is expensive...because it’s THE DESERT. It’s a different place with an economy based on isolation, and it’s...More

Spent 3 nights in Uluru with the family, a thoroughly great time. Stayed at Sails which was an ideal place to stay. The hotel is clearly dated and could do we some updating, but the rooms are great, and the overall resort very comfortable. The...More

I stayed at Sails in 1995 and not much has changed since then, but more wear and tear. The room was / is really nice, though room 185 is the furthest room from the main building and takes forever to get to a meal and...More

I spent two nights at the Sails in the desert, I agree with one of the latest reviews: its a big well maintained motel and not at all a 5* one, however its for sure the best available for families cause the Longitude 131 is...More

all of the hotels at uluru are owned by the same licensee (including Longitude 131) and the lack of any competition shows. Sails is clean but its essentially a well kept motel in terms of look, fixtures, and amenities. No where near a five star...More

Yes in the section I was in "sails in the desert" they did. there are other accommodation options at Ayers Rock Resort. Perhaps Emu walk apartments may have separate ones.

Hallo Hotel management. Reading Rainer S review we just wonder how the service in your Hotel can be so substandard, considering you charge more than twice the amount of established Hotels, like the Four Seasons in Sydney for instance. Having spend many years in management training and consultancy, my findings often go right to the top, often revealing a bad attitude towards the staff below, which in return present themselves in a no care, stuff them attitude. Could that be the case in your establishment? If so, please consider a revamp of the structure in place, Uluru being a world know tourist destination should be a showcase of this country and obviously you are failing badly in that department. Distance has never been an issue in five star accommodation, so there's no excuse on your behalf, considering the Gold mine this resort must surely be.

You must be referring to a different establishment. Our recent stay at Sails was terrific. Yes the cost was a little more than the norm. But we reckon it was worth every cent. Accommodation, staff, food, it was all very... More
