Towing our camper trailer around the West Macs and East Macs, this camping ground was a highlight of our two weeks. A generous number of sites with mature trees, and regular visits from birds. The grounds are well cared for, with lighting, good amenities and all set amongst glorious red hillsides that glow in the afternoon sun. Our plan was...

This outback resort, Ozzie style, is a must for any traveller, the campground is large with power sites, some water is available, best to fill up your tanks at Alice Springs. The trips to old good mining town - Arltunga was fascinating, numerous gorges were interesting, we spent 3 nights there, the serinity was glorious. They do have basic cabins.

My wife and I had a great day trip here from Alice Springs for lunch. The scenery slowly changes as we worked our way from Alice Springs along the Ross Highway. The staff were fantastic at the resort, and were very helpful. We had lunch which was extremely reasonably priced, and tasty. We shared battered barramundi and salt and pepper...

The surrounding scenery is spectacular and it is a lovely place to spend a few days. Graeme, Lee & team work hard to make sure you enjoy your stay The campground is large, has large shady trees, lots...

Firstly the couple running to place are really welcoming, and make heaps of time for you. We stayed here for a couple of nights, the facility are basic. The swimming pool was a real welcome sight after a day exploring the East Mac Donald's rangers. They have a bar and meals areas. Also heaps of memorabilia around as the home...

We stayed here for three nights to be closer to some of the local attractions. The staff who manage the place are friendly and have great tips about local attractions, and the campground is peaceful and well tended. Great value and blissfully quiet.

We visited Ross River after Trephina Gorge, as it is a short distance & it was lunchtime. Ross River is a working NT station, but in the old original homestead, which have the thickest walls, & historical information, is a country pub providing basic but fresh meal choices till 2pm & in the evenings. You can sit outside to eat...

We stayed at Ross River for 3 nights in early September using it as a base to explore the East Macdonnells - Trephina Gorge, Ndala Gorge and Arltunga historic gold mining town. The location is great for this purpose and the 'resort'/homestead setting is very pleasant, nestled against a hill, with lots of shady trees. There are also a few...

Sorry you didn't feel as though you had value for money. Could have fixed the light and the water if I had known at the time. A lot of people enjoy getting away from the TV and other technology. We are slowly upgrading our bathrooms - many now have vanity units - I'll note shelving as we do the others.

Great grassed camping area. Lots of trees and shade plus good fire pits. Day trips to N'dala Gorge and Arltunga and the gorges out in the East MacDonnells are worth a look. Easy 4wd stuff and not as crowded as the West side with Uluru, Kings Canyon et al. Ablutions are old but ok. Shower heads need attention. Night meal...

Glad you enjoyed the East Mac's. All our shower heads are done now, we do 'de-calcify'' them on a regular basis, but our water gets the better of us sometimes. Sorry you didn't enjoy your meal.
