Travellers' Choice 2019 Winner
In December 2015, one of Sydney's finest examples of art deco glamour opened its doors as the 5 star Primus Hotel Sydney. Perfectly positioned in the heart of the city near Town Hall and emerging Korea town, this her-itage-sensitive refit of the former Sydney Water Board headquarters has breathed new life into an iconic 1930's building. With an exacting approach to retaining and reinstating the internal detailing, the refurbish-ment by leading global design studio Woods Bagot, has brought a sense of modern timelessness and con-venience to the space. The generously sized 172 rooms and suites feature lavish interiors, free wifi and contemporary bathrooms cre-ating an authentic and engaging experience for guests. With the Presidential Suite fit for the highest of digni-taries, the hotel is one of the city's most prestigious accommodation offering. The grand Lobby Bar is a haven for people wanting to relax with a touch of old world charm while the ad-joining all day dining restaurant, The Wilmot, brings high end dining back to the city with a modern, comfort-able twist. The New York style rooftop heated pool with sundeck is the perfect respite from the bustle of the streets below. From splendid meeting rooms to three dedicated boardrooms, the hotel provides unrivalled events and conference spaces. Hospitality is at the heart of Primus Hotel Sydney. The hand-picked front of house team has a strong, global background that brings elevated standards of service to Sydney.

Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.

My family of four spent a wonderful weekend at the Primus Hotel. The hotel location is smack in the centre of everything: movies, restaurants and shopping. The rooms are perfectly lovely and not trying to be 'cool' or 'cutting edge.' Expect a comfortable bed and a great

My wife and I stayed on a whistle stop trip to SYD for a work commitment. The Primus had been booked for us, and while not the sort of place we'd usually stay, it was perfectly suitable. Cool, clean and spacious, our standard room had everything you needed in it for an overnight

Stayed at Primus when celebrating my birthday and was very delighted to see the small treat they sent. Room and toilet were absolutely pristine. Also ordered room service - service was very quick and food received was exceptional.

The only set back was the drainage issue when used the bathroom on the night first check-in of that particular room allocated. Asked maintenance twice to check on the situation until guests found out what was the issue. This should not be guests responsibility. Guests pay it

Yes it is frosted glass but the doors are heavy thick glass good quality doors stay close completely. You can not see through just faint shadow of person inside. The toilet is tucked behind a corner. Although beat in mind the light will shine through to the bed/sleeping area should someone go to the toilet or use the bathroom while you sleep
