Nice hostel, pretty quiet & generally close community. Great location, comfy rooms. Heard a few bad stories about the owner ripping people off, but I didn't encounter it - thought he was funny & he sorted me out with work.

While this hostel is in a great location, within two minutes of entering our private room the largest cockroaches we've ever seen made themselves known. They were 2 inches long and immediately started scurrying over our bags! Not wanting to be trampled by cockroaches at night - or risk bringing them home with us - we checked out but did...

Can I rate this hostel a zero? Me and my boyfriend stayed here early January 16. After a 30+ hour flight from France, we wanted to enjoy our own company for the first 3 nights so we booked a private room. We weren't expecting much and we kind of prepared ourselves for hostel living, knowing it wouldn't be amazing BUT...

- : Cleanliness reviewed : Kitchen and bathrooms really dirty, showers that will burn or freeze you without warning., very cold in rooms during the night. Bad vibes. !! A boss too present in his customer's live. I gave him my phone number and he has send me unprofessional messages. He continued even through I asked him to stop to...

Stayed here for a few days whilst in Sydney it was very expensive! It was very dirty and cold at night there was hardly any bathrooms or showers I think three for the whole place! It was very noisy I would not recommend staying I stayed in far cleaner hostels for less money! Don't go!

We stayed at Tokyo Village hostel for a total of sixteen nights in a double bed private. Tokyo Village was the cheapest hostel I could find for a private room and we paid $450 for seven nights. The room was very decent, the bed was comfy and had two pillows each (most hostels I have stayed at only provide one),...

Where do I even start. We booked this because it was slightly cheaper than some other hostels in Sydney and close to central station. I rang in the day to advise the manager that we would be arriving at about 1am (as that's what time our pre-booked bus got in) and asked how to arrange a late check in. After...

The whole building needs a renovation. We had an OK double room with tv, sink, wardrobe, fan, but there are cockroaches around and one night when we were about to sleep a big cockroach was flying around the ceiling. During our stay it was also impossible to lock the door in the bathroom and one time the cleaning lady just...

We stayed here for a week in a triple room. Our room was ok, had a tv, wardrobe, electric fan, a sink and a triple bunk bed. And was an alright size. The only problem with the room was the large gaps between the floor and skirting boards, and the open fireplace (which is no longer in use) these two...

I thought about staying for a few weeks but moved out after five nights, even if I had payed for the whole week in advance. I whole place is dirty. The kitchen a whole mess. My room (6bed dorm) was probably never cleaned before. People were smoking almost everywhere in the hostel. After 6pm it was quiet hard to find...
