I met amazing people there. The hostel is extremely tidy, the staff is friendly and always smiling, the rooms are comfortable and cleaned everyday. It doesn't look like a hostel.. You feel like you're at home!

When I arrived in Sydney, I had planned to stay at a couple of hostels around the city to explore different areas and I though it'd be a great way to meet a bunch of people. After two days at BP, I checked out pretty unwillingly because I had booked another hostel. I came back after two nights at the... More

I kicked off my year in Australia with a stay at the Blue Parrot. It was a good start to my trip. The hostel is clean, not to cramped and generally a nice place to stay. The location was great for exploring the city and going out in the evening. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The rooms had... More

This is a great hostel with a really friendly vibe in a good location. The staff are all really friendly and welcoming, and make a big effort to make guests feel welcome, include solo travellers, and create a sociable atmosphere. They are really good at giving advice on things to see and do, and often hang out with guests. The... More

The blue parrot hostel is a pretty and nice small hostel. Walking distance to the city center. With a really nice 30 mins walk you can go to the botanic garden and reach the Opera house. About 40-50 people maximum in the hostel. Which is really small, best hostel ever. It remind me the university houses and the other guest... More

The hostel itself is pretty cool because the people who come here are generally here because of the small size and the social scene. The location in Kings Cross / Potts Point is perfectly fine and actually adds color to the place. The major downside is that one of the male staff members is super creepy and makes sexually charged... More

Thanks for taking time to review us, we’re happy to hear you enjoyed our social atmosphere and location! We truly apologise if one of our staff made you feel at all uncomfortable. We only have one male staff so we can narrow down who you are referring to. We usually receive great comments about him, from both males and females... More

“There are 3 common bathrooms for people to use, but it's just nicer to have your own toilet and bathroom in the room. So though you'd be sharing the room with 9 other people, but you also get your own convenience at night and even easier to meet people. :)”
