Turned up to this hostel with high expectations as we were excited to begin our trip around Australia. Wow, talk about coming down with a bang. Arrived early morning and sat and waited to check in, we were given our keys and opened our door. We didn't realise we had booked the special room which included a Chinese woman already...

Booked this hostel for our first stop off on our travel around australia. Unfortunately we had a delayed flight which meant we wouldnt make the first night of our booking. We emailed sydney backpackers to state that we would not be there for our first night of booking, understood that we would still have to pay for it and that...

The location is great, you just walk five minutes to the train station, and it's convenient to take a stroll in the city. The room is clean and tidy, and there's a kitchen. The bathroom and shower is separated. I have stayed in several backpacks before, this one really surprises me! Everything is clean and makes you feel comfortable.

Booked into a 6 bed room, checked in, went in the lift that smelt rotten. We then went to our room that also smelt disgusting, there was crap on the walls, beds were like concrete, one thin blanket and a plastic pillow each, tv didn't work. Bathrooms were dirty and looked like they had never been cleaned. Kitchen was filthy,...

Stayed and sleep nice in this backpacker hostel. I don’t expect much to this but it exceeds my expectations in terms of safety and cleanliness. I rented 10 female bedrooms and slept for 2 nights but my board mates are okay and room is clean also. Since this is a backpacker or hostel, I expect less but what I’ve experienced...

It was a bed. I got sleep. The bathrooms worked but were not clean. the room door lock was busted but nobody touched my stuff. They rent out extra blankets for $2 and so don't heat the building. Wifi in the lobby. If you are just looking for a bed this one works.

Located in the heart of the city (Town Hall), it was a highly accessible location to the numerous attractions and places of interest. Several convenient locations such as Woolworths and Coles were nearby as well, making the location of this hotel a highly strategic location for tourists. The staff were moderately helpful overall, although the initial instructions to get to...

The first thing that the man told me at the front desk was that I was late. There's only one elevator and it looks really old and there's some button broken, which means you cannot access to your floor . verything is really filthy, felt cleaner BEFORE my shower ! There's mold in the bathroom which occur a bad smell....

A dirty hostel. Staff don't treat guests with any particular kindness. It does not feel like a family. Bathrooms are not maintained. There are other hostels nearby that are better. Steer clear of this one.

Friendly staffs, good localization right next to Town Hall ststion. The dorm with 16 people have bad ventilation hard to sleep, but occasionally they turn on the AC. Kicthen with only 1 small fridge, cleaner than I tought, but they could be cleaner.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
