This is a good value hotel in a location that makes it really easy to get around and see Sydney. Kathy was a fantastic host and the breakfast was spot on! I would definitely recommend Hotel 59.

I bumped into Hotel 59 on my first morning in Sydney, in desperate search for affordable three weeks of accommodation and after some "interesting" experience at another place. The manager George showed me one of the rooms and he checked availability. Except for one day he could offer me a room and I was gladly taking it. Throughout my stay...

In addition to the excellent breakfasts during our 10 days in Sydney, George runs a very clean hotel. Our room had a very nice bed, with a lot of horizontal shelving for all of our luggage, electronics and papers. The hotel's location is 1.5 short blocks to the bus which takes about 10-15 minutes to downtown/CBD. The Kings Cross area...

We found this hotel to be a great value in Sydney. The room was huge and breakfast was good. After traveling in Australia for several weeks, this was the first hotel we had with free Internet (and a good connection). The location was accessible to the city - about a 30 minute walk to the opera house and bridge. It...
