We had the pleasure of staying here last month and can’t recommend it enough! Great staff! The location is amazing! It’s a perfect base for a trip to Sydney. Also attached to the hotel are 2 fantastic pubs! The Fortune Of War (Sydney’s oldest) &...More
The friendly and helpful staff such as Maxine were unbelievably helpful in so many ways! they ran a full service concierge service besides the desk. This hotel could be so wonderful and has so much charm but it needs a facelift in their rooms. In...More

Such a hard place to rate. The location gives it a 6+; so does the gentleman in reception. We went cheap. If you want to go cheap in The Rocks, expect less. We had a very small room with shared (down the hall) bath. No...More
The first residents of the Rocks were convicts and sailors from the old nation. As the oldest neighbourhood in the city, the area's cobblestone streets host more than 100 heritage sites and buildings, including the oldest house in Sydney, Camden Cottage, which was built in 1816. Taste a “midi “ or a “schooner” of beer and dine “al fresco” on the waterfront at some of the oldest pubs in Sydney. The
weekend markets at the Rocks are where you can find local artists' hand-made souvenirs, organic food and designer jewelry in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. To enjoy some of the best Australian and international contemporary art, the MCA museum is open every day and select evenings. At the end of a long day of sightseeing, be sure to save energy to dance the night away at the area's many late night entertainment venues.

Hi Wendy, you are not permitted to smoke inside any of our rooms. Our private rooftop terrace is a designated smoking area, or you can smoke outside the building in Globe Lane or on George Street. Thanks!
