This is a classic downtown hotel with very modern rooms. The rooms are spacious, well equipped and comfortable. The staff was especially wonderful at helping us with our luggage when we dropped it off before we returned the rental car. Also, we were able to leave a bag here for several days after we disembarked from our cruise and went...

Lovely art deco public areas make this hotel stand out against the often corporate-bland nature of some big hotels. Rate was reasonable (by Sydney standards) and location is excellent - walkable to anywhere within the inner city. Room was ok - had everything I expected, great big shower, very quiet, very clean and well-maintained but furnishings are a little bland...

From the moment we entered we knew 'The Grace' was an excellent choice for our brief stay in Sydney. The staff were very helpful and the elegant art deco foyer was reflected elsewhere in the careful selection of furnishings and art. We were greeted by Champagne and chocolates as we were celebrating my daughters 21st birthday. The location was superb...

We were visiting Sydney before a cruise and stayed a few days in the CBD. This hotel has a wonderful concierge that was so helpful with directions, suggestions for dinner, and just general information about the area. The large room was clean, pretty and quiet. The art deco chandeliers are worth a look even if you don't stay here :-)....

Need a hotel for business travel? Grace Hotel is it. Beautiful with rooms that have comfy beds, terrific basic amenities, along with the hotel's historic (check out the department store HQ history) Art Deco vibe, the Grace Hotel is a wonderful place to stay in downtown Sydney. Best of all are its staff, who are helpful, friendly, and problem-solve and...

I travel for work every few months and this is without a doubt my favourite place to stay - the small gym is fit for what is necessary and the lap pool worth a try. PJ O'Briens downstairs is a great spot for some pub food and a drink without feeling like you are in a hotl

I love the old style feeling of the hotel and the staff were very friendly and efficient. My room - the carpet looked a little worn and the bath had a patch which made the room feel a little unloved. Great central location

Had a short stay of 6 days, would love to have stayed longer. Very centrally located, close to Queen Victoria Building and Town Hall station. We paid for breakfast in our package and were not disappointed - plenty of choice, eggs cooked to your individual liking (actually heard someone ask for their poached eggs to be cooked to death). Rooms...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
