The Westin Sydney is one of my favourite places to stay in Sydney, although as noted by previous reviewers there have been some cost cutting initiatives over the years such as the removal of free Westin-branded bottled water. The hotel is centrally located right next to the Pitt St Mall and only a 15 minute walk to Circular Quay in...

Suites very nice but always ask for a high floor as there is some noise from aircon units on lower levels. Bathrooms spacious and great views. Look for a deal as rates can get quite high...3 night stays often have a free night.

Nice modern hotel on Pitt Street. Service was good and although I only stayed for one night during a business trip, I did get a chance to walk down to the Rocks (straight down Pitt Street) and to the Sydney Opera House complex. For the price there are better located hotels for tourists but otherwise a very nice hotel. Will...

This hotel is perfectly orientated to explore both the sights and shopping in Sydney. The hotel is a redevelopment in the historic General Post Office on Martin Place. I was travelling for business so spent 4 days coming and going. The room was spacious and well appointed with the rain shower extremely indulgent. The bed was very comfortable and the...

My family and I stayed in Westin Sydney for 2 out of 3 days, honestly speaking we should have stayed in this hotel longer. The service is excellent, the staff are energetic and friendly, they also serve you without any hesitation. The only drawback is that the speed of response from the housekeeping is quite slow, which took them almost...

Stayed here with the wife and children on our recent trip to Sydney. As a valued SPG member we got a room upgrade facing the clock tower. Situated in the heart of CBD and a $40AUD from Sydney airport, this hotel was ideally situated to get to all the major attractions by foot. We went with room only, lots of...

A friend and I stayed two nights at the Westin Sydney. We were very impressed by the size of our room. The bathroom was huge and the beds were delightfully comfortable. Fantastic location, great breakfast, smart rooms. Loved it our three night stay. Easy walk to Rocks, public transport, and parks. Buffet breakfast with a smile, but sometimes too efficient at taking the plates away. Heritage room was perfect for us.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
