Great location. Circular Quay and Opera just in 5-10min walk away. Big clean room and quiet. Highly recommended. Having Macquarie St view from window. Good exeperience being there. Next time to Sydney will choose it again.

Stayed here for one night while attending show at Sydney Opera House. What a wonderful experience from check in to check out. Usually stay elsewhere but decided to try Sir Stamford on friend's recommendation. Had a huge room with a balcony/porch area with partial view of Circular Quay. Will definitely be back the next time I am staying overnight in...

The Sir Stamfors dining has a lot of things to improve before we come back. The trout tartar was very nice but the duck rilette was overworked and lacking flavour. My gnocchi, yes that foto is of it...nothing else to say was very bad - dry and hard and sauce nonexistant. The steak had an absolutely uneatable sauce. Luckily we...

Went well a friend who had a dinner voucher through Travelzoo...3 choices entree, I had vegetables, main salmon with vegetables that were a little too sweet/rich, so the complimentary bread rolls helped, fish a little under cooked, a salad would have complimented it better. Desert choc cake:pudding ice cream, this was very nice.

This is my 7th or 8th say at this hotel . I am usually there for business, stay one night , have room service and have always been most content. A little less so on this occasion which was for four days. I took my husband to stay as previous experiences had been great and we wanted to attend several...

Great location, friendly and helpful staff, good size room with Juliette balcony. The view across the Park overlooking the maple trees was particularly special. The large bed was very comfortable and the separate shower was a bonus.

A truley satisfying experience, my idea of looking forward to a great room and services added to the day time excitement of what Sydney has to offer. To luxuriate in a marble bathroom, order from an exciting menu either to my room or the dinning room, relax on a comfortable lounge in my large, tastefully decorated room, all added to a...

Overall a good stay with quality service and standards of hospitality that suited the requirements for my time in Sydney. I would recommend and make arrangements to stay again when undertaking business in this end of the CBD (Opera House). Kind regards, Lou Turner

This is a wonderful old-world hotel that keeps the focus on what's important and gets it right. Beautiful classical decor, probably updated in the 90's, but everything is in good condition and tasteful. Classical music in the lounge. Very clean, beautifully-appointed rooms. Our room was very large (about 40 sqm) and had a king bed, 2-seater sofa and armchair, table/desk...

This hotel has one of the best locations in the city. Unfortunately the hotel has lost a little of the polish which has alway complimented the style and decoration. The dining room is making the hotel feel a little worn.

Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
