Great location, lots of sining options around, all within walking distance of hotel. Good room size and comfort, wonky TV remote and system. Breakfast spread average, value just below average. Vegetable curry too sweet, poached eggs looked overdone, strange and incompatible condiments for congee e.g. kimchii?

As a LeClub Accor member my wife and I have stayed in a few Accor chain hotels now and we are yet to have a bad experience with service. That said, the service here sets a new benchmark for us. From check in where we were offered a discounted upgrade, through to breakfast and a very fast check out the...

Stayed at this hotel a few times of late when going out for the night in the city. Went to the ADEL concert and stayed here. Well positioned for the train station and buses. Plenty of places to eat nearby. The rooms are a little dated but very clean and fresh. Facilities such as the restaurant etc are well staffed...

Stayed with my mum and two daughters while I attended a course in the city. Efficient staff. Room neat but a little small. Kids had to go out for the day so they didn't go crazy, unlike when you stay in apartments and have that by more room. Overall great stay. Problem with sink backing up but they did try...

I visited Sydney for a special event but unfortunately it was marred by this hotel stay. Shabby room, smelling drains, awful sickly piped fragrance through the reception that smelled of toilet cleaner and bad internet service.

This is a smart and slick motel with great service and tidy spacious rooms. The staff were great, especially the batman who let the patrons watch the tennis final between Federer and Nadal after closing. Nice! We chose the Mercure thinking it was closer to the heart of town. Turns out it is a little further away but this was...

The Mercure is my idea of what a hotel that is aimed at the business traveller should be. This is my third visit and though I only stay for the one night the staff are totally attentive. Room is comfy, relaxing and clean. Bar and restaurant are good.

Mercure hotel is located within central CBD, adjacent to the busy central station. It is 10 minutes walk to Haymarket, Chinatown and 1-2 stations away from Town Hall and Circular Quay. Checking in on a Friday midday was busy: the reception seemed understaffed with one main reception and one VIP receptionist. It took about 5 minutes, but things went smoothly...
