Had a really nice stay in this hotel. It is easy to get from the airport by train, and not that far from the city centre. The room was spacious with a small balcony, clean and comfortable. got the newspaper for free every day. The breakfast is not that big but was included in the room rate. Cheap and easy...

Searched high and low for a family hotel that would be well situated for both the harbor and the airport, yet not cost a bomb. Hyde Park inn to the rescue. Maybe 20 minutes to the airport, not even 10 to the cruise ship pier. Cannot say enough good about it. Front desk staff friendly and helpful. Spacious clean rooms...

We paid $209 for a studio room which had a queen and a single bed. It was furnished with a settee and an arm chair. Plenty of room to move. Clean and comfortable with on site free parking handy to shopping and not that far from the harbour. Great value for Sydney

The service from the hotel was excellent, and it is located reasonably close from the subway station. There was a simple set of breakfast prepared for each adult staying in the room, and when a set has been left out, we called the reception and they got to us immediately. The room was spacious and just nice for 3 adults,...

This place had it all. Great service, great location (directly opposite Hyde Park & Museum train), close to many restaurants, bars, convenience stores, onsite parking and free wifi. We were given a room upgrade too which sweetened the deal. The room was spacious with mini kitchen and ability to cook if you so desired (we did not desire). About a...

We travel to Sydney from Newcastle to go to the Theatre and other events on a regular basis. We have stayed at the Hyde Park in on the last few occasions and have found it one of the best hotels to stay at. It is in the middle of the city and has a great bonus for with free parking...

Very good stay and worth the price. Doesn't have all the features of a standard four star hotel but it's very good otherwise. Beds were comfortable and everything was clean as expected. Free wifi available as well which was handy. Highly recommended!

I had lived in Sydney for 15 years and have stayed in many hotels over the years, but this was the first time I had stayed at the Hyde Park Inn. I was very impressed by just how spacious the room was. Also, I was on the third floor, facing busy Elizabeth Street and I did not hear any traffic...

I spent three nights at the Hyde Park Inn. The rooms are large and very well-equipped - I particularly liked the in-room kitchenette, and the fact that they deliver a continent breakfast to you every morning. My only complaint is related to my last night there. I was in Sydney with a large group of friends occupying four rooms in...

This was a great little find. It's a smaller hotel and does not have a restaurant inside (there is one next door). There was a little kitchenette in the room and it was not far from a grocery store. The hotel staff were very pleasant. We got there early and could not check in, so I was a little disappointed...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
