Clean and functional but bland and in need of some updating. Staff helpful and friendly. Beware of daily Wi-Fi charges of $14 for most rooms....who expects to pay extra for Wi-Fi! Stayed for a week en route from NZ to Dubai and UK so a little disappointing in comparison to elsewhere apart from location.

I am not sure why TripAdvisor has it as Sydney and not Potts Point (this is the actual suburb it is located in). Until a few weeks ago, I lived only a few minutes walk from this hotel. A change of jobs and location (back to Canberra from Sydney) saw me needing a hotel for trips back to Sydney for...

Very helpful staff, they really were great with meeting our needs with the stay. It's good priced accommodation for it's location too. Nothing fancy though, it hasn't been renovated for ages I'd say but I don't mind if that's reflected in the price and it was clean and tidy and surprisingly quiet. We really just needed a nice place to...

I stayed in a single room, it was very tiny with no space or shelf to place a suitcase. The room has probably not been renovated for 10-15 years. The bathroom comes with a small bath, shower head over the bath. The carpets were old but not too dirty or smelly. Overall it was not dirty but just old and...

Good location. Clean and functional but lacking soul and just somewhere to sleep. Beware additional daily Wi-Fi charges if not included in your package , which is not clear on their website. Décor very dated and needs sprucing up. Disappointing as we were there for a week

Devere is is in a good location if you explore Sydney by metro - the stop is in walking distance. It’s only two stops from the city center. Devere Hotel looks quite decent from outside, is rather simple and old inside. My single room was very small with very old furniture and bathroom. Housekeeping and front desk were very friendly....

It's my 5th ou 6th time in that hotel. I liked it before because of the situation &, some years ago, reasonable price. Unfortunately, I booked through the hotel website, a so-called promo with wifi. I arrived at 11.30am & I had to wait until 2pm for a room. I booked for a "pleasant outlook room". It was in fact...

The hotel was ok, the room was terrible confortable, big spaces, big bed, great bathroom. Besides, the breakfast was varied fruit, bread , drinks, etc. For no more time han 5 days, because even though you have some options, it was everyday the same. The best of this hotel is the location, every transport leaves you near everything. It is...

The Devere was perfectly located in Potts Point near Hayes Theatre where we were going to see "Cabaret". We had some older folk so the proximity to the theatre, awesome eating options, and transport, mostly taxis, was great. We liked the Devere because of its position but it also has old world charm. It is not modern and is no...
