The location is the advantage. It's in Chinatown and can walk to the CBD. Only stayed for few nights but the staff were friendly and helpful. A lot of the facilities need to be upgraded. Overall it was clean. Beds are comfortable and clean and has standard room facilities. Its not modern and would only recommend it for those for...

A lot of the main travel sites list this hotel as a 3-Star hotel but I would put it more at a 2.5 or so. I booked 2 nights via Hotwire for 3 people for $300 -- it was the price point I was looking for since Sydney gets pretty pricey. We landed in Sydney early and made it to...

Convenient to the Capitol Theatre, and the Haymarket, but that's about it. The room was basic, clean, with a view over the roof next door. Tiny cramped bathroom. Would pass as an average backpackers hostel. Reception was little more than a "hole in the wall". Not a smile or anything helpful from the reception staff. Apparently there is a dining...

Great location for a hotel but is marred by failing on some of e most obvious fundamentals of a hotel. Receptionist didn't give any useful information about the booking or hotel facilities. Literally nothing. Not a word. Barely enough info to find my room. The room (403) is right next to the lift. Never accept this room unless you like...

Dear Nikolajs Z, Thank you for sharing your review of Capitol Square Hotel Sydney. I am pleased you found our staff most friendly and helpful and you enjoyed the buffet breakfast provided. When we arrived to the hotel we were put in a tiny room that looked very different to the pictures on the internet...and there was a loud noise coming from the air conditioning unit so we complained and got upgraded. The maintenance proceeded to accuse us of lying about the noise just to get a better room which was not...

I stayed at Capitol square hotel for a business trip. All I wanted was something clean, neat; somewhere to sleep and shower. The room was really grubby and run down. There was also a weird vent in my room that opened onto pipes and wiring which made loud humming and banging noises and I was unable to sleep. I told...

If you are a single business traveler or urban traveler, it is the place to stay! It is located in the city center, so you can go anywhere easily. I don't know more reasonable urban accommodations than this hotel. You should not ask for luxury, stylish & elegance kind of thing.

If I could give a rating of zero stars, I would. Do not stay here. My husband and I booked here thinking it would be a good option as we were seeing a show at the theatre. We checked in and immediately went out to grab some food prior to our show. The air conditioner in our room was not...

The reception staff are cool, lacking of smile. The family room is ok, but the bath tub is too small. The shower water is very uncomfortable, the water from shower is too sharp making me feel pain when it falls on skin.
