Stayed at the Capitol Square Hotel for one night when going to see Aladdin at Capitol Theatre. On check in the receptionist came across very disinterested but we only had to deal with her for a short time so that was fine. We were given our key and got in the horribly old and run down elevator to go to...

Good if you want to eat out, no lunch or dinner available. The restaurant is breakfast only. Ask for rooms on level 2, bigger and better bathrooms. Bit dated but great location for Paddy's market, .Capitol Theatre and the new light rail ( like a tram) is at the western end of the street of which the hotel is within...

This hotel is not worth giving a rating. The place is DIRTY - the hotel is in desperate need of a renovation and is disappointing to say the least. Have to wear thongs in the shower as it is so unclean. Mould in the ceilings, marked and dirty walls to name only a few areas. Shame on your house keeping...

Thank you for providing us with the feedback of your recent stay at the Capitol Square Hotel Sydney I am most disappointed to read of your unpleasant stay due to the poor servicing of your room. I have passed on your feedback to our Executive Housekeeper to ensure the issues you highlighted are followed up accordingly. This is certainly not...

We chose this for the location (near Central Railway Station) and price. The room was basic but very clean, a bit lower priced than others nearby. You get what you pay for, we weren't in it for much other than sleeping so it suited us. Worst was the shower in the bathtub, difficult for older legs to get in and...

The last time I stayed here was 2013. I was happy with the overall condition and given its convenient location, I did not hesitate to come back as a return guest. The hotel offers good value especially if you book early in advance. The room was not too bad, neat and tidy. I had a good night's sleep. It would...

The location is the advantage. It's in Chinatown and can walk to the CBD. Only stayed for few nights but the staff were friendly and helpful. A lot of the facilities need to be upgraded. Overall it was clean. Beds are comfortable and clean and has standard room facilities. Its not modern and would only recommend it for those for...

A lot of the main travel sites list this hotel as a 3-Star hotel but I would put it more at a 2.5 or so. I booked 2 nights via Hotwire for 3 people for $300 -- it was the price point I was looking for since Sydney gets pretty pricey. We landed in Sydney early and made it to...

Convenient to the Capitol Theatre, and the Haymarket, but that's about it. The room was basic, clean, with a view over the roof next door. Tiny cramped bathroom. Would pass as an average backpackers hostel. Reception was little more than a "hole in the wall". Not a smile or anything helpful from the reception staff. Apparently there is a dining...
