This was our second trip. The first was the night before embarking on a ship. That night was not so good, however, we returned and had just a wonderful stay of 5 nights. The room was quiet, clean and roomy. The staff were friendly and we had a great time cooling off in the roof top pool whilst watching the...

Holiday Inn is in a great location in Sydney CBD. Taxis at the door. Staff were really helpful, especially Meg and Nick. Vies from the roof overlook the Harbour bridge and the Opera House. WiFi available in room (subject to joining IHG which is free). Everything you need is there. Restaurant is only for breakfast though but room service available...

Good hotel to stay. Great location, perfect for an overnight stay if going on a cruise from the OPT. Great reception staff, room exceptionally clean. Bathroom could do with a bit of a renovation/moderisation, but quite acceptable. A minor issue. Highly recommend.

The location of this hotel is perfect, you can walk to the Opera House, the Bridge and Circular Quay ferry terminal within 5-10 minutes. The location is also in one of the most historic areas of Sydney. The swimming pool on the roof has amazing views of the harbour, the pool is a little small however. The hotel does have...

We had a room with two queen sized beds. There wasn't a lot of additional space but it was quite functional and average for a hotel room. The service was friendly and the staff went out of their way to help us. The best part of this hotel is it's location. It is right in the heart of The Rocks....

we stayed here prior to joining a cruise to New Zealand. We were upgraded (due to a small booking error on their part). Had a superb room looking out over the bridge and harbour. Can't fault it! Well placed for the markets and local restaurant. The Harbour bridge is just next door.

Staying in The Rocks

Neighbourhood Profile
The Rocks
The first residents of the Rocks were convicts and sailors from the old nation. As the oldest neighbourhood in the city, the area's cobblestone streets host more than 100 heritage sites and buildings, including the oldest house in Sydney, Camden Cottage, which was built in 1816. Taste a “midi “ or a “schooner” of beer and dine “al fresco” on the waterfront at some of the oldest pubs in Sydney. The weekend markets at the Rocks are where you can find local artists' hand-made souvenirs, organic food and designer jewelry in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. To enjoy some of the best Australian and international contemporary art, the MCA museum is open every day and select evenings. At the end of a long day of sightseeing, be sure to save energy to dance the night away at the area's many late night entertainment venues.
