Staff completely disinterested and unhelpful. Deceptive information in compendium (Foxtel channels do not work, no iron/board in room, and no gym (have to leave and got to Fitness First). Completely overpriced.

Very good stay and I would use it again for future trips to Sydney. Good location with easy access to public transport and a reasonable walk into town if you're mobile. The free wi-fi was a tad unstable but that woudn't stop me making another booking.

Room was clean & tidy and adequate for my stay. Great location for travel into city as Kings Cross station is a few minutes away but I preferred to walk each day. Walking distance to loads of great restaurants & cafes.

The Bayswater Sydney is beautifully situated right next to King's Cross train station in Potts Point, which is a good jumping off point for all the forms of public transportation available in Sydney. The rooms were generously sized, with coffee makings and real milk from the mini fridge. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance, and a shopping center...

I stayed here with my partner for 5 nights in a king room. Facilities were as described. Bathroom was slightly cramped but i loved the power shower. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Location is excellent, a 2 minute walk to Kings Cross train station.

The tiniest room and double bed we have ever got. The room is so small that there's no space for a regular size bed. You need to be very short to fit in the bed. The staff wasn't the most friendly we have encountered either. I'd just avoid this hotel at all means. 1/4 of the normal size is not...

Centrally located, good facilities and very helpful and informative staffs. Rooms are a little small though but is clean and adequate. A real value-for-money although it is by no means cheap. I would recommend this hotel if one is looking for a centrally located and clean hotel in Sydney.

Rooms and bathroom were excellent for price range, great location, comfortable, with access to harbour and city within 15 mins on metro, neighbourhood really good and lively. Service was very good, easy shuttle booking to airport. Lounge area small but well appointed. Limited amenities e.g. restaurant, pool, gym, but no real needed on a short overnight stay when everything is...

Not up to standard, a lot of small insects found . Asked the staff, only tell you it is because the hotel location is above the restaurant, they cannot do anything, and will spray some insect remove liquid the next morning when you checked out.

Staying in Kings Cross

Neighbourhood Profile
Kings Cross
Changing liquor laws are remodeling "The Cross," Sydney's red light district. These new rules have encouraged trendy cafes and boutiques to pop-up in the area, as well as organic markets on Saturdays. The area's nightclubs are still popular with youngsters, however, who will dance to the early morning hours on weekend nights. There are plenty of artifacts from Kings Cross' shady past when gangsters and liquor houses owned the place. Today, one can still find a variety of adult entertainment venues in this evolving area.
