Stayed here as a last minute option after our campsite fell through. $84 for a private room with no ensuite is steep. The rooms could do with a Hoover, a lot of chipping paint and mould. Staff were friendly but the whole place was outdated.

We got off the early 7am Greyhound bus to a locked reception - someone from the adjoining restaurant let us in. It appears this restaurant (bizzarely named 'The Plantation Hotel' - it's not actually a hotel) runs the backpackers accommodation and check-in is within the restaurant itself. Cleaning staff let us in to put our bags down, which was great,...

Rooms & communal areas are very dated. Received poor customer service at the front desk. Wifi didn't work. The lobby/Reception area is very appealing but once you go beyond that you are disappointed. good location in Coffs Harbour.

Advised hostel we would check in 1 hour late, they wouldn't leave reception open as they would be leaving the site unmanned after 10pm. Still charged us full price despite this. Really unhelpful on phone. DO NOT STAY HERE

I was sceptical about coming here at first after reading some negative reviews, however my experience was different. I was warmly welcomed by every member of staff here, they are friendly, kind and helpful... the rooms are clean, very clean toilets and shower, friendly common room with large tele gives it a homely feel. There is also a spacious communal...

I was disgusted by the state of this Australian hostel. My room had broken blinds, holes in the mosquito net, broken lockers & appeared un clean. Just to top of the experience, there are also feral pigeons cooing outside the room early morning. The kitchen was in a disgusting state, particularly the microwave (see photo). I was thankful I had...

We arrived in Coffs Harbour Saturday morning with no reception until 10..waited around (did request early check in) when we checked in at apprx half 2 only to be told we hadn't been booked in our private room which we booked 2 months ago through Booking.com and a managers error! Not the most helpful to solve this just to offer...

One of the best hostels I've stayed at, clearly made a massive effort to keep it clean and tidy, despite the previous reviews! The manager was super helpful, and made me and my husband feel very welcome engaging in various conversations. Even giving us free meal vouchers, which we used in the super nice restaurant downstairs. For anyone British, it's...

Spent a few hours in this pub, the meals were very good, in particular the steaks. We travelled with friends and all enjoyed the food. Apart from the steaks one person had the shepherds pie which was also very good. Location is very central to Coffs Harbour township but on the main highway so a little noisy outsife

My friend & I stayed, and it was nice. The beds are comfortable. The only downside to the rooms was the bass that pounded up from the club below on the weekend. Aside from that, we both felt that the customer service was great! Hayden was wonderful to deal with! When we arrived, unfortunately we had to stay at another...
