We stayed at this unique property on the University Campus. It formerly was used as professor and university guest housing, but is now open to the publicand very reasonably priced. There was a large sitting room which had a desk and balcony, with a seperate bedroom. The furnishings made it feel a bit like a dorm room, but it was...

I love staying here. The rooms are comfortable and imbued with the essence of a more relaxed era. You can open windows and get fresh air and hear the morning Canberra bird song. The fish pond , lilies, friendly carp and native and exotic gardens all add to the gentle atmosphere. The staff are friendly and helpful. My shower was...

We stayed here for four nights room E342. This was a one bedroom apartment with air conditioning and a sofa bed. It was one the second floor. The room was clean and tidy. The charm of this accommodation is the 60s70s style. The bed was very comfortable and the ensuite bathroom modern. Our room had a bar fridge/mini bar. Our...

University House has simple 1950's decor but still very comfortable. The gardens are lovely and the beds comfortable. The staff are nice too and price reasonable. I liked it because it's very quiet. Our room was very large but on the third floor with no lift. Free Wi-Fi would have helped but otherwise, the place is convenient and worth it....

Old rooms in desperate need of refurnisement. Very clean. No lifts. Excellent staff. Great breakfast. They charge $10 a day Internet access, should be free in the modern age. 2 star accodation, 5 star staff. Hard place to rate.

Uni House is very convenient to most sites and places of interest in Canberra, as well as a short ride to and from the airport. The central courtyard with fish pond is very peaceful and pleasant. Boffins restaurant is excellent for the times you are in the mood for a high-end dinner without having to travel from the hotel, and...

We always stay at University House when we visit Canberra. Whilst the accommodation is basic, the rooms are comfortable and well appointed. Importantly, University House is well located in central Canberra and the rooms are very reasonably priced - especially in comparison to other Canberra accommodation. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are spacious, furnished in uniquely 50s furnishing....

Close to the city (10-15 minute walk), cheap and a walk or short taxi to the major sites. Uni House has two family rooms with two bedrooms and an apartment with 2 bedrooms and a sitting room and kitchen, We stayed in the family room and had an extra folding bed for which there was ample room. The restaurant, Boffins,...

I regularly stay at University House for business and it's good in many ways. Spacious rooms (even the twin rooms are good) although the funny bathmat in the shower was a bit unusual and funny. Reception staff are always helpful and cheerful, thank you. However please replace the Harris tea and the tired biscuits tne rooms with something more contemporary!...

The University House accommodation is great value, in a lovely location, with a very relaxed and tranquil character. The rooms are like stepping back into the 60s/70s - a real retro feel, but extremely well set out and comfortable. The rooms are very big, and very clean. No lifts, so if you're on the third floor (as high as it...
