What a pleasure to stay in such a lovingly restored historic house. A much better option than a hotel room in the heart of the city. Here, because of the large plot of land, you feel like you're in the country, yet accessible to all that Canberra has to offer. Maureen is an utter delight! She kindly baked us a loaf of bread...

This is a lovely place to stay. It is oddly placed in what looks like a suburban street in Canberra but it is actually a working farm and part of a complex of nineteenth century farm buildings. We stayed in Bell's Cottage which is a tiny wood slab two room cottage built in 1879 and lovingly restored with just enough...

Stayed for two nights in March 2016 for a stopover in a drive from Sydney to Melbourne. Maureen is the most gracious, fun and accommodating host there is. The cottages are beautifully rustic but very well apportioned with washing machine, dishwasher, great oven, all that one needs. The area, Cook, is sufficiently close to the city but the actual cottages...

I travelled to Canberra initially for work, however extended it to a week long trip with my partner. The cottage was absolutely beautiful! Just have a read on the website on the details of when it was built etc and you will understand. It was the perfect cosy size for the two of us. The bed was unbelievably comfortable. The...

Maureen was the highlight of our stay at Rosebud. She is a lovely, enthusiastic and an amazing host with the perfect accommodation setting. We (my husband and I) were looking for a single night stay at Canberra before moving to Thredbo and did not really want much before I saw this amazing cottage online. I liked Maureen from the time...

My husband and I have stayed at both Rosebud and Bell cottages and both are fantastic. Maureen Tully the host is amazing, very friendly, cooks home made bread and jams which are great and very obliging. She supplies everything you could think of. From the outside the historic slab cottages are genuine heritage cottages but have been adapted with gas...

We stayed in Nov 2011. All the reviews correctly talk about the uniqueness and comfort of the property and how kind Maureen is. What no one else was lucky enough to see though was the result of rain. We were woken by excited screeching - it was raining and the sulphur crested cockatiels we conducting a tree top aerial ballet...

Rosebud is a wonderful historic Aussie farm cottage, lovingly restored by the owners. It is warm, cosy & has all modern appliances to ensure a very comfortable stay with a fabulous farm outlook. Maureen is a delightful host & provides a generous breakfast hamper. This was our 2nd stay & we will stay longer ext time!

A wooden slab cottage built in the 1860s, with Miele appliances, a very comfortable four poster bed, a modern bathroom and loads of character features? With free range eggs, homemade jams and fresh baked bread provided for our breakfast? This place was an amazing find! From the moment we arrived our host made us feel very welcome. Her personal tour...

The gorgeous cottage has a balance of modern and old worldly charm. But located within suburbia. Close to many things in Canberra. Maureen, the host, provided us with freshly baked bread...yumm, eggs, bacon and other condiments. She could not have been more helpful. This is a lovely spot to spend a few days!
