We had use of the entire property at Ginninderry for our daughter's wedding, in mid-November 2016. We could not have had a more perfect weekend. Sue was so welcoming and hospitable at the Homestead and Cottage, and Amelia and her team, led by Olivia, were absolute champions with everything associated with the wedding. The verandah of the homestead was perfect...

Myself, My Maid of Honour & my family stayed here the night before my wedding on November 4th 2016. The location is stunning hence why I chose to get married here. Rooms are beautiful & Sue was an amazing host. Breakfast was lovely to walk downstairs too & plenty to eat. The gardens are amazing & green. Love the sound...

We stayed 2 nights with other family member and small children. The website states 'no children' but the owner accepted our booking. On the second night we were asked to stay upstairs in the communal lounge area so that two other guests with no children could have access to the open fireplace in the lounge downstairs. We were not happy...

Ginninderry Homestead is an adult retreat. The booking for this group initially included a self contained cottage. However as their booking commitment was not met this became unavailable. We honoured the booking for the remainder of their requirements. In the future our adult retreat status will be strictly adhered to. All of my communication was with the mother, not the...

We stayed at Ginninderry homestead for 2 nights for a family getaway which included small children. Although advertised as no children we were told (by the owner) we could bring children as the other guests had been informed and approval gained . We were also told there would be communal areas we could use. On arrival my sister in law...

Stayed at this homestead on a recent trip to Canberra. I loved that were were not in the centre of town. The rooms were warm and well appointed. Our bed in the turtle room was comfy and cosy! Our host was friendly. We loved the open fire in the sitting room and indulged in a glass of port while enjoying...

Stayed 2 nights in a private dogs friendly self-contained cottage @ Ginninderry Homestead with my 2 kelpies & a husband. We were very lucky to be the only guess there. We had the whole 70 acer property for ourselves. Woke up with the sun rise behind the mountain & Sheep & Kangaroos & Deers. Immersed ourself in 4.5 stars French...

We were with a wedding party. If you hold a wedding reception on a Saturday at Gininderry Homestead you must hire out the homestead for the Friday and Saturday nights. This would cost the bride and groom around an extra $1700. We had the Turtle room which hires out at $200 per night – there is another room of a...

Wedding guests staying at Ginninderry should be aware that the homestead accommodation is a requirement of the contract to hold a wedding on the property, due to the noise generated by weddings held at the homestead. Wedding groups staying at the homestead are generally family or close friends and sometimes both soft furnishings and furniture are moved between rooms by...

We spent 3 nights at Ginninderry Homestead, peaceful, perfect host, and just close enough to Canberra. And to boot my dog did not want to leave nor did we. Breakfast was just bountiful with selections of everything, showers with beautiful rain water( taps worked perfectly) a room that had a real outlook , french doors with screen that opened to let...

My husband and I spent Friday and Saturday night at Ginninderry Homestead. To say we were disappointed with the facilities is being kind. Firstly, the temperature of the shower water could not be adjusted so it was hot, cold, hot, most off putting. We did not expect to have to make our own breakfast. At all other B&B's we have stayed...

Was the venue for our Senior Executive get away and we wanted somewhere local to Canberra. The location is amazingly picturesque with the family touch of the very friendly puppies coming to greet you when you first arrive. The conference facility was just the right size for our needs and Amelia looked after the catering for morning tea and lunch...
