We stayed 3 nights in a 2 bedroom cabin which worked well for our family of 5. The main living area was big and had everything we needed. Reminds me of staying at one of the cabins at a Big4 or caravan/holiday park - nothing fancy but functional. Apartment was clean, towels were good. The kids enjoyed the spa tub! Floors were a tad sticky but otherwise good.
A value stay for families who want parking right out the front. There is construction going on behind the property so not sure if it can get noisy, but they weren’t working when we were there. The ladies at the front desk were very nice!

Couldn't talk about the location as don't know Canberra well.
Stayed in a villa. Yes bit of mould in shower but generally an ok level of cleanliness. Tv and kettle in room.
First night chicken snitzel gave me high expectations for breakfast. Unfortunately brekky was packet eggs and grey sausages. Opted for muesli and fruit instead.
Chef helpful and offered me extra fruit to get through day- didnt sell any in on-site convenience shop.
Ok three night stay for camp- not for families or holidays.

We stayed there last week on a school excursion and found the previous reports to totally incorrect and caused a lot of anxiety to parents prior to departure. The Carotel rooms were basic but clean and suitable for what is required on an excursion. The food was very good and plentiful and the kitchen staff were fabulous. We stayed there for 4 days and there was never a problem with safety. There was a caretaker on site whose presence was visible. We would definitely consider staying here next year.

Stayed there for 3 nights this week as I was running a training course in the Dining Hall. The staff were exceptional, couldn't do enough, available whenever for any query. The Dining Hall was heated, large enough to keep socially distant for a group of 16. Took me a day to find the light switches but I could have asked. Sanitiser was provided, large screen TV including cables. Only 1 toilet for group, but it wasn't an issue. Villa room accommodation was fine, no idea of cost as company paid, 2 bedrooms with full kitchen next door to dining hall. Clean, appealing, every thing I needed was there. Comfy lounges, large dining table enough to work and eat, seated 6. Vehranda with table and large seat. Parking out front. Leaking tap which I remembered to mention at the end and was told I should have said and they would have fixed it. Nothing was too much trouble. A lick of paint would be perfect and I noted this happening progressively with empty villas.

I had been willing to visit Canberra and planned a cartrip from Melbourne. And I can now say out of the 5 motels we stayed at, this was easily the worst. Reading the comments here... I cannot agree more. I checked on Trip Advisor beforehand on this motel. The reviews simply made me scared at the thought of even staying there. We were greeted by an unfriendly woman at the reception. She did not once smile. Let's see ...the room had a bad stench, the showers facing a toilet directly, we were approached by a weird man smoking and drinking. Evidentally, drunk. Why wouldn't he be? The mini shop there sold alcohol. Scared, we ended up placing chairs against the wall in fear. The kids felt unsafe... luckily it was a one night stay...My point is, stay away... the drunk man instantly asked if the girls was our daughter. We will not be considering coming back. As for everyone else, stay at your own risk...

I had the unfortunate experience of having to stay here on a school camp. As others have said the rooms are less than budget, bathrooms mouldy, hairs found in the lumpy beds, punch holes in the walls & doors & door locks not secure.
Our kids were harassed by sketchy looking patrons who kept staring at our 12 year old kids and asking for there names, not only that a scream mask was used during numerous nocks at the window.
I also would NOT recommend if food allergies are involved. Our trip was catered for by the chef of this motel and on 2 occassions he completely forgot to pack gluten free lunches. Not only is he rude, he also yelled at the children if they were late even if it wasn't their fault and meals were swiftly taken without being finished.
Schools or Clubs, this place is not worth the sleepless nights.

Luckily we only spent one night in this caravan park - one of the worst I´ve ever been to. We paid $34 dollars for a powered site, which turned out to be totally overpriced for what we found. The sites do basically have no grass and everything looks like nobody looks after the park. Worst of all are the amenities, they must have been built at some time before christ and that´s probably the only time they have been cleaned. The baby bath makes you sick just looking at it, so dirty!
