We had the self catering option and but still enjoyed three meals over three days at the hotel. Chef is really great and the food is delicious. Our self catering unit was at the back of the hotel, from the top terrace we had a great ocean view but nothing to sit on unfortunately to enjoy it. Our rooms were...

Staff initially sullen, impatient and unfriendly. If you ask a waiter for something they point you in the direction to fetch it yourself. There is no "waiter service" I would put this on par with a fishermans Hotel. The whole feel of the hotel is plain grubby, the bathrooms and bedrooms are in great need of a revamp.

We did the Wild Coast Meander in April 2017 and this was the second hotel in which we stayed. The accommodation is clean, lovely views from the rooms and the food was fantastic. The staff were friendly and helpful. Access to the beach a few meters away and a sparkling pool to cool off. Best of all were the pre-dinner...

Spent a memorable holiday at Mazeppa Bay Hotel. Beautiful location, great views, fabulous walks and enjoyed the early morning runs before breakfast. Home-cooked meals were really tasty, the food was plentiful, dietary requirements were well taken care of and all served and prepared by warm, attentive staff. The rooms were comfortable and clean and the welcoming touch was so appreciated....

Fantastic location on the wild coast. Very challenging drive along pot holed dirt track. Do not attempt to drive it as we did in the dark! Make sure you allow double the length of time that you think it will take. Alternatively take the road to the Kob Inn and walk the last 7km along the coast which is awesome....

We had a fantastic time and enjoyed every minute. I was particularly impressed that the chef remembered I do not eat red meat. Because when there was roast lamb on the menu for supper one night, he came to our table and told me that they remembered and had prepared a alternative meal, especially for me. I was very impressed...

The rooms are clean and we had a room with lovely sea view. The food was good home type food the staff in the dining room was always pleasant and couldn't do enough for you. On the down side the lady on reception had a real attitude problem. We found the prices in the bar very expensive. Felt they should...

Our four day stay at mazeppa bay hotel was great aside from the high prices of goods on site, and the generally sour demeanor of one of the reception ladies. She continually asked us who we are and what we are doing there, even if we were just walking around. Charmaine was unfriendly and unwilling to even sell us potatoes!...
