I didn't really enjoy this stay. We felt we were being scolded by the staff as we arrived late and made to feel guilty. The welcome was minimal. The TV was small. To be fair there was plenty of sockets in the room and the shower was nice but there was nowhere to sit. Now let me get to breakfast....

Had a lovely Sunday 'buffet' style roast with friends ~ happy, helpful staff. Food good, a good plate of traditional Sunday lunch ~ pud was lovely too! A nice atmosphere of a traditional 'county pub' lovely big fireplace in the bar area... green wellies & dogs in abundance!

Disappointed at first that we were sharing a bathroom with another room (a mistake in our booking) but in the event it was fine. Cosy room, very comfortable bed. We did have to put the bed rug over the window though as there was a courtyard lamp directly outside the window. Slept very well. The pub itself was cosy and...

We stayed here for one night. The room was basic but clean. The pub is nice with no background music and good real ale. The food is all cooked fresh and good quality. We had garlic mushrooms which were very tasty but we did get bread envy when the table next to us got a large basket of sliced bread and we...

Ok, so this isn't an upmarket boutique hotel it's a basic country pub. Rooms were serviceable and comfortable. It's old fashioned and quirky in the building but provided us with a decent stay which was excellent value for money. Breakfast was basic with just orange juice, choice of 4 cereals then cooked full English, which was fine. We found the...

We passed this pub on the way home from The Dabbling Duck we remarked that it looked like a good pub and that we must try it. On the way to just outside Norwich, we were picking up our new puppy, we thought we were thirsty so let's stop here for a drink. We saw on the board different platters...

Went today for a quick lunch with my mum and my one year old. Went in and said to the bar maid we are just after some lunch, she said ok no problem would you like any drinks? We said yes and both ordered a cold drink. She then went on to show us through to the cold buffet seating...

I stayed here on Sunday 21/8. The pub / hotel is quaint and in a quiet village. The rooms are exactly as you'd expect from a historic pub - comfortable, chintzy, and perfectly serviceable. One issue with the room was that the window had been left open ( being such an old place, there is no aircon). However , being...

This review is for the Sunday Lunch we had. It was a carvery with plenty of variety in meat and veg, and you served yourself. It was home cooked and straight from the kitchen and was hot, There was a regular plate size and also a smaller one for children and Senior Citizens. If you don't want a roast, then...
