Charming and quiet pousada, one minute from the beach and very close to the village. Charles (the owner) speaks several languages (including english) and provides wide information about the best way to reach the island, and also about the excursions and activities to do (I went to a long and lonely beach where some local kids were practising surf). They...

I was there with some friends and everything about it was perfect. Fantastic breakfast, lovely rooms, super friendly staff, and incredible surroundings. Will definitely go back.

It would be a travesty to travel to Bahia and not stay at Pousada Santa Clara. If you're not planning on going to Boipeba, rearrange your itinerary and go there. The pousada is just beautiful. It's a series of disconnected cabanas set amidst beautiful tropical gardens. It feels incredibly private. We had #8 and it was spectacular. It was a...

Pousada Santa Clara, run by the charming Charles is a special place in a very special island off Salvador. Reaching Boipeba is hard work (unless you take a small plane that takes just 20 minutes from Salvador), but thats probably what makes the island special, quiet, and unspoiled. The pousada is relaxed, easy going and very brazilian, lots of vegetation...

Santa Clara was all that i remembered it to be and more. It's the perfect vacation get away. Beautiful, comfortable, low key and relaxed. Yet the design, the food, and the service is quite sophisticated. The breakfast in particular, which is included in the price of a room, is splendid. I haven't had better anywhere! I love the atmosphere at...

Peace and quiet, endless white sand, torquoise sea, wall to wall sunshine, that was Ilha de Boipeba. A charming pousada set in a tropical garden; a comfortable airconditioned room with a very good ensuite hot shower; a charming, welcoming and endlessly obliging host (Charles); great food (best restaurant on the island); and good company; that was Pousada Santa Clara. Is...

We chose the pousada on the basis if Tripadvisor recommendations. Great orientation talk by Charles helped us find our way around Boipeba. Really enjoyed the beaches here. Empty and tranquil. The pousada is not on the beach, but set in lovely tropical gardens. The rooms are of good size and bathrooms adequate (though we were left with a 2nd hand...

We stayed at the Santa Clara for four nights, and it was not long enough. The pousada and Boipeba are both enchanting, and will charm you into wanting to stay longer. The rooms are spacious, simple, stylish and comfortable..and child friendly...our 11 year old loved both the pousada and Boipeba. Even in the summer heat, the ceiling fan was sufficient...

Small uncomfortable rooms, bad quality mattress, no air conditioning when it is pretty hot and humid as hell, tiny bathrooms, no wardorbes in bedrooms, mosquitoes everywhere....Serious issue with sewage system: what you put in your toilet it might come through your shower:-((. We travelled 3 familes: 6 adults and 7 children altogether. It was recommended by someone who just came...

Sorry that your trip was not what you expected - your friend who made the recommendation obviously made a mistake in sending you to Boipeba. Most clients who come to Boipeba Island are prepared for the tropics, humidity and mosquitos (usually not an issue - nets and sprays do the trick) included, and we are happy to report that the...

I was lucky enough to stay here while on Semester at Sea. I came across the business card while cleaning my drawers, and I still remember my stay fondly. When I left I said I wanted to go there on my honeymoon, and I still do. Amazing fresh food, great service, right on the beach, rustic, yet comfortable pousada...it felt...
