We've been in Paradise ! what a place , My wife and I spent 7 wonderful days in Raiwasa, the most beautiful experience of our lives, from the moment we arrived , to celebrate our Anniversary we were showered with love and care from the beautiful people in the place . Our life has changed ever since, we think quite often about the beauty and magnificent view of the ocean from every part of the place, wether you arein the pool , having breakfast, lunch or a drink in the pool or a Sunset diner in the porch, or at night looking at the stars, you feel close to heavens. The food is the best , fresh fruit every morning , drinks galore . We are planning to go back in the near future. Massages every day, excursions , picnics, lunch in a private Island, snorkeling. The best asset this place have , the people taking care of you, from the Manager to the driver all equal taking care of you with a smile. I remember them all, they spoiled us. The best vacation ever.

This trip has been fantastic to me and it has been incredible from the moment we got here at the airport until our last day.. The staff has been so attentive and consistent, and they know how to take good care of you since day 1.. There are fresh flowers on the table, every single day and they always inform us what's going on.. Thirsty? There's a fridge full of bottled water for you or staff offers you something to drink, from fresh orange juice to tropical fruit juices like coconut and mango.. I wasn't the beach-person type, but the jaw-dropping view and extra-ordinary experience in Raiwasa completely changed my whole mindset.. We went kayaking, snorkeling and had fun sight-seeing the tropical fish on the reef, we had lunches at the beach and spoiled me with daily massages, body scrub and the unforgettable banana wrap which made my skin amazingly soft the entire trip.. From sun-up to sundown you have this phenomenal view of the ocean right in front of your room.. Did I mention that meteors are coming out of the sky at night like it's just the most natural thing to see there? Hands down.. I hope this won't be my last time coming out here as it truly was an awesome experience that I'm always going to remember from all the excursions, going down at natural waterslides, hiking, to going out to the private island, just wow.. This trip has been the best adventure of my life, no place can top it.

My wife and I had one of the most extraordinary getaway experiences of our lives at Raiwasa Resort in Fiji. We spent 5 amazing nights in this incredible place. I was lost for words when I first set foot in this wonderful property because everything about this place was so incredible from the food, the activities, the landscape to their very accommodating and hospitable staff. We loved how every little detail was thought out which made the place so perfect, almost like a paradise as everything you needed is being handed to you. The resort has breath-taking spots where you could watch the sunset or go stargazing and not to mention the amazing food made by 5-star chefs served in different gorgeous locations. Our stay there was so relaxing, all our worries and stress were washed away. The property offers awesome activities outside the resort as well! We hiked to the waterfall, we went on a natural rock water slide and hiked all over our very own private island. It's truly an out-of-this-world experience and the best vacation we've ever had and for that, we felt so lucky and grateful to be able to spend a time in this wonderful place in Fiji. Everybody there ensured that we were comfortable and living our best life from all the phenomenal 5- star cuisine food to their staff's world-class service and hospitality. They cater to each person's dietary needs which makes this trip extravagantly one-of-a-kind. We highly recommend Raiwasa as a 5-star Fiji Resort get-away that will exceed your expectations.

It’s been almost 5 months since our dreams came true with our honeymoon visit to Raiwasa! Our lives were greatly impacted by this experience that my words below have no way of doing Raiwasa justice! We are still residually affected by Raiwasa in our day to day life when we smell something that takes us back there; feel a breeze that makes us take a deep breath to hope we can return soon; feel the compassion from someone in our hometown that reminds us of the Fijian kindness and hospitality at Raiwasa; and so many other instances that bring the desire in our hearts to find peace in our hearts and souls just remembering the lifelong impact of Raiwasa! My experience as a soon to be married man was a pleasure in exploring my selection for our honeymoon to Fiji. I narrowed down my decision to Fiji after great consideration of the Maldives, Bora Bora, Bali, Tahiti, Hawaii and Greece. My decision on Fiji was because I wanted to experience the tropical and remote destination that has breathtaking waterfalls everywhere. I researched the Fijian Islands for weeks if not months to make my final decision on Raiwasa Private Resort which is located on the 3rd largest Fijian Island called Taveuni. Hundreds of properties were considered by me after I juxtaposition of all these properties to find the diamond. So I found Raiwasa to be that diamond where I would Raiwasa (look to the sea) with my beautiful new wife! I initially made an inquiry about Raiwasa to communicate directly with the Owner, Mr. Patrick Janin. Raiwasa is unexplainable as we know this, but let me start my experience with Patrick. He’s a 7 star owner of the most beautiful property in Fiji in my personal opinion. I cannot begin to calculate how many times he responded in depth to my emails, spoke to me on the phone multiple times for hours and did FaceTime calls with me personally and then with both my fiancé and I after I let the cat out the bag on where we were going. I wanted my crème de la crème location to be Raiwasa but I also wanted another property to visit as well for our 2 week honeymoon. Patrick knows the Fijian Islands like the back of his hand so he networked his connections and we finally found a 2nd location for our departure after Raiwasa that I’ll mention briefly at the end. So, Patrick is really the main reason I settled on Raiwasa and he became a lifelong friend through this process. We flew from Atlanta to LA on Delta Airlines and directly into Nadi International Airport using Fijian Airways to begin our journey. Upon arrival to Nadi we immediately were greeted by Fijian people, music and culture at the airport. We loaded onto a small craft 19 passenger Fijian Airways plane that would take us about 1 hour northeast of Nadi to the 3rd largest Fijian Island called Taveuni. As we flew into Matei Airport in Taveuni, I noticed out my plane window in our last seconds above the blue water the property we were about to inhabit for the next 5 days called Raiwasa. I get chills just at the thought of how perfect this experience was unfolding! We were immediately greeted by the first of our 12 staff members at Raiwasa by Boji would would escort us in the Raiwasa truck to the Raiwasa property. In the truck we knew we were going to get first class treatment the entire way when Boji blessed us with mango oil covered wet washcloths that I can still smell to this day. It was a perfect gift after our long flight to Fiji from the USA! As we arrived to the resort, again we were greeted with Fijian love ! Fresh coconut water, live music and lots of smiles. From day 1 stepping onto the property we were treated with the utmost respect and love. It was something we will never forget. The Fijian love is something we had never experienced and Raiwasa was the epitome of that. Every evening we were greeted by the property manager, who discussed our plans for the next day. This included: activities, meals, excursions and spa treatments. Whatever we could imagine, was put on our itinerary for the next day. We never grew bored at Raiwasa! Excursions such as snorkeling, waterfall tours, horseback riding, deep-sea fishing, private beach picnics and much more ! And that did not include all of the activities you were able to do on-site. Swimming in the infinity pool over looking the South Pacific, paddle boarding, kayaking, Fijian ceremonies, biking, etc. Each excursion was planned with so much detail. The staff would pack special meals, drinks, and anything and everything you needed for the excursion. We were always so very pampered ! One of our favorite outings was our journey to Boma Falls. After exploring and jumping in the falls, we were taken to an exclusive part of the falls where a private lunch was set up for us. This is something the staff had to get permission from the nature park to set up for us. We had live music, food, drinks, and a beautiful arch that was handmade with beautiful Fijian flowers! It was unreal and so romantic for our honeymoon. In addition to the amazing excursions, the food at Raiwasa is 5 stars! Each dish is carefully handcrafted and tastes absolutely delicious. We have dined at many top restaurants around the world and Raiwasa’s food is unforgettable. Definitely some of the best dishes we have ever had ! After staying at Raiwasa for 5 days our stay was coming to an end... we did not want to leave. The one thing we said we would miss most is the love of the Fijian people and the way the staff cared and loved on us. It was something we had never experienced anywhere else. We truly felt we were in a dream our entire stay. If you are planning your next vacation, honeymoon, or get away please do not look any further! There is no place that compares to Raiwasa. The people, the experience, the views, the uniqueness... it is something that no other resort can match! We love Raiwasa and it’s people and we cannot wait to come visit again. This is not a goodbye, but a see you later, Raiwasa !!

Raiwasa is the epitome of a dream vacation. Beautiful water, serene surroundings and amazing food. The resort staff was beyond anything I've ever experienced. They didn't allow us to lift a finger. Raiwasa was better than any vacation we've ever been on and we travel quite a bit. If you want the vacation of a lifetime you should visit Raiwasa.

Raiwasa will be the best vacation experience of your life. It combines the best service in the world, with the best food, and the most beautiful location. Your only regret after experiencing Raiwasa will be that you did not stay longer. The black package was more than worth the upgrade. I woke up every morning to a beautiful sunrise, incredible breakfast, and an amazing massage. I ended every evening with dinner by the pool while watching the sunset.

We spent a full year searching for the ideal honeymoon location. Torn between island life and a European vacation, we managed to agree an island vacation was our ideal honeymoon. We thought it would be easy from there, but it wasn’t until we stumbled upon Raiwasa. After talking with Patrick and understanding everything Taveuni, and in particular Raiwasa, had to offer nothing else compared. Goodbye Bora Bora, Maldives, Cook Islands, Hawaii, etc. – we are headed to Fiji and enjoying our private honeymoon experience at Raiwasa! From the moment we decided to stay at Raiwasa through our arrival, Patrick was there to answer our questions. This was just the beginning of the personalized attention we received throughout our stay. Before our trip, Patrick even collaborated with my husband who wanted to plan something special for me. A picnic near a beautiful waterfall was planned and the entire team knew and was prepared. It was a surprise to me and a good memory. The moment we were picked up by the Raiwasa team, we knew we were in good hands. Everyone was genuine and welcoming, the house was well kept and clean, the food was delicious, we felt safe, and we really enjoyed getting to know everyone and the Fijian culture. Patrick and the Raiwasa team paid so much attention to detail and we enjoyed little surprises every day. In addition to sunshine, we were looking forward to adventuring – snorkeling, scuba diving, the natural waterslide, horseback riding, waterfalls, the coastal walk, stargazing, getting involved in the culture, etc. and we were not disappointed! There is so much we could elaborate on, but we don’t want to spoil the experience. What we know for sure is Raiwasa is worth the trip. Everyday included experiences we will remember and cherish for life. We really appreciated the Go Fijian and being able to experience a kava ceremony and lovo. Raiwasa offers an experience that compares to no other. We had a worry free, relaxing vacation. There was no need to rent a vehicle. No maps and directions to follow. We had our own personal tour guide everywhere we went. We didn’t have to wait in line and ate meals on our schedule. We didn’t have to worry about dirty clothes. We didn’t have to research the activities we wanted to do. We simply woke up with a smile every day, confirmed our plans, and let the fun take care of itself. Raiwasa thought of items we would need and prepared us for every adventure better than we could have prepared ourselves. Our experience took vacationing to a new level and we would recommend Raiwasa to everyone! If you’re looking for an adventurous, luxurious, and romantic honeymoon or vacation this is the place! There are no words to describe Raiwasa! The staff, food, location, activities, every single thing was amazing. The entire trip felt like a dream that we did not want to end! The entire team made us feel so welcome and it was such a pleasure to get to know each and every one of them! The food was incredible, from breakfast to dinner we enjoyed every single thing we ate! The location is also incredible, the views are amazing!! We were very active during our stay; we did the Rainbow Reef snorkeling, Lavena Coastal Walk/Bouma Falls, coastal fishing (caught over 15 fish!!), the Des Vouex peak hike (found the Tagimouica flower, only grows on a mountain in Taveuni Island!), Go Fijian For the Day (incredible experience, won't ruin the surprises here), garden tour and cooking class. In the meantime, we rode bikes and walked the roads of Taveuni to explore, kayaked, paddle boarded, snorkeled and just enjoyed the villa. We received amazing spa treatments too! This resort is absolutely incredible, no other vacation will be able to top this one! We are already planning our trip back to Raiwasa!

We spent 5 glorious nights at Raiwasa. A little back story: My husband and I visited Taveuni at another location (Lomani) 10 years ago for our 10th wedding anniversary. We met a local woman named Lo and kept in touch with her. She ended up working at Raiwasa and 10 years later we came back to Taveuni to celebrate our 20th anniversary bringing my mother and daughter-in-law with us (that’s another story lol). Because of Lo, we arranged to stay at Raiwasa. Next is a detailed review of the best trip we have ever taken: Pick up from the airport was uncomplicated, we were greeted by Andrew with a refreshing cool cloth and help with our luggage. It could not have gone smoother. Arriving at Raiwasa we were warmly greeted at the car and walked up a path to a beautiful welcome song, uniquely made flower leis, and a wonderful tropical drink in a bamboo cup! The house was amazing, tastefully decorated, immaculately cleaned and well furnished! We loved the deck and all of the furniture, it was comfortable, spacious and easy to get around. Bedrooms and bathrooms were immaculately clean, spacious and beautiful. Loved the tree and plants in the outdoor shower areas, it gave it such a tropical feeling. The gigantic flower arrangements were very impressive and beautiful! The pool was the perfect temperature and very refreshing on a hot day. The views from the pool and the house deck are so incredible that sometimes we just stared out wondering if it was a dream! There is an intercom at the pool bure and beach bure where you can call for a delicious smoothie or anything else your heart may desire. The landscaping is incredible and it's easy to see that an enormous amount of time and care has gone into the landscaping and its magnificent beauty surrounding the house and throughout the property. There is a fantastic walk with many stone steps down to the private beach area and pool bure. The beautiful sandy beach was a surprise, the bure was really cool and wish we could have used it more. If I had one suggestion it would be the option to turn off the lights at night down at the beach area and at the bure. The staff did an amazing job with the housekeeping. The fresh flowers throughout the house, bedrooms, bathrooms and shower were just incredible! We were so surprised and delighted to find all the places they were placed and it gave the whole house such a pleasant atmosphere. The turn down service was a very nice touch, it really set the mood for bedtime. Laundry, bed making, bathroom cleaning, ALL of it was impeccable and there is nothing I could think of to improve. The meals were an experience all on their own! We looked forward to waking up each morning just knowing that ALL meals ALL day were taken care of and were absolutely delicious! The table settings were gorgeous and different every day and every meal with so much variety in just the tablecloths and arrangements. We were mostly coffee drinkers and the coffee was wonderful. We probably tried every smoothie on the menu but the Noni Effect was a favorite. The food choices were superb and gave us a lot of areas to explore and enjoy. The 5 course meal every evening was an adventure of taste and delight. I was so spoiled there that I think I forgot how to cook when we got back home! Between the four of us we had multiple massage and spa experiences. The choices were plentiful and the therapists were very good at technique and professionalism. Very relaxing and enjoyable. There were almost too many activities to choose from, which from our standpoint (too little time) we wanted to experience it all and just couldn't do it. In hindsight, we should have found a way to stay longer. We opted to purchase the Go Fijian for a day, and all the activities that went with it, (Kava ceremony, Lovo, Meke) were very informative and meaningful. My husband Erik had a fabulous time with Andrew on their fishing trip. He didn't catch any fish but he is still talking about the day and sharing pictures and videos with family and friends. It was a highlight of his trip and he has spoken highly of Andrew and his boating skills! Erik and I also did some snorkeling right off the beach and it was amazing! That was a simple but real highlight of our stay was how good the snorkeling and sea life was right at the beach. We also did a two tank dive with a local diving company…Raiwasa took care of all the details and drove us there and picked us up. Diving was great, tons of sea life and we even saw a shark! We didn't have the opportunity to use the kayaks and other water sports items, mostly because the lack of time. Penny and Presly had the cooking lesson and they raved about it, learned a lot and had a great time. The garden tour is a must!! It is not what you will expect, but you will most definitely enjoy it! I’ll end with a piece of advice…..whatever package you choose, stay longer than you think you can. It is worth every cent! When you get there you will regret not finding a way to make it last longer, especially if you came from afar like we did (USA). There simply is nothing to compare it to. Patrick, Richie and the whole staff have created a bit of Heaven right here on earth, it’s called RAIWASA! Christine Minick, Michigan, USA
