The location of this hotel is good and little away from hustle bustle of City. We stayed in luxury rooms which were spacious, well furnished and with a balcony. The staff is mixed with some being good and others never bothering. There's ample space for parking and also facilities for drivers separately. Breakfast spread was very limited with just 4-5 options overall. Food options were good and the taste varied from dish to dish. Overall a decent stay in Kannauj

Hotel Asha is a decent place to stay. Hospitality and food are good. Rooms are clean and ok. AC worked in my room. Water flow has some issues that can be fixed. It can also get noisy in case of wedding functions.

This hotel is at GT road near railway station outside city.
The rooms are big and having all amenities.
The staff is wonderful and the best thing is food.
Their food preparation is ultimate.
I recommend this hotel if you’re staying near Kannauj.

I had my wedding at Hotel Asha. From the outside you would think it beautiful. Once you step inside the truth is clear. While their facilities are nice, the rooms were absolutely disgusting. None of the rooms had toilet paper - we had to request it. In my own room, there was urine on the toilets - when the manager was called in, we asked him if he would let his daughter stay in such a room. He said no. Yet we had to REQUEST them to clean our rooms. My fiancé’s suite had a bathroom that reeked of urine. Nothing was changed. My friends room had a coffee pot full of MOLD. When they asked for a toilet paper refill, they had to wait for THREE HOURS. Worst of all, instead of being accommodating and apologizing for the disgusting nature of the rooms, the hotel staff tried to make it seem as though they had done nothing wrong. They refused to acknowledge any mistakes. They refused to compensate us for the extreme negative reactions we felt in this hotel. When we spoke with them upon checkout about our experience, one staff member stood with her arms crossed and told us she wouldn’t speak to us because she didn’t believe she had done anything wrong. The manager who, the day before, had said he wouldn’t let his wife or daughter stay in that hotel room, stood in front of us and said “Well, at least we cleaned it.” As if it isn’t a hotel’s responsibility to make sure that their rooms are clean. The confrontations we had to deal with were absolutely abhorrent. I would not recommend staying in this hotel. If you need to stay in Kannauj, try a muddy puddle on the side of the road. It will be better than hotel Asha.

I can’t believe how disappointing this place is! As travel and food bloggers who've been to countless restaurants across India and abroad, we had high hopes for this spot after two visits in the last three years. But it seems like the management just doesn't care or improve over time. Honestly, it's appalling how little they've done to fix the glaring issues here.
Let me break it down:
1. Food Quality: The food was absolutely disgusting! The taste was awful, and it reeked like rancid oil. How is this even allowed? It’s beyond me.
2. *Dal Tadka Disaster: We ordered Dal Tadka, and it was practically inedible. The dal was half-cooked, and there was no trace of the usual tempering (tadka). I've had better dal at street vendors. This was the worst I’ve ever had.
3. Prices Are Insane: The prices here are outrageously high considering the poor quality of the food and the location. You’re basically paying for bad food and slow service at a premium. Complete rip-off.
4. Slow Service: Waiting an hour for food? That’s ridiculous! How does it take that long to prepare something so basic? Completely unacceptable.
5. False Advertising on Water: They claim they’re serving “RO water,” but it’s non-filtered tap water. They’re straight-up lying to customers. Who does that?
6. Rude and Unhelpful Staff: When I complained about the food, they just shrugged it off and said, “This is how we prepare it.” Seriously? No effort to address customer concerns? The staff is cold and unwelcoming.
I really wanted to give this place a chance, but after two visits and zero improvement, I’m done. Don't waste your time or money here. This place doesn't deserve the business it’s getting!

The management at this hotel is most insensitive. They have guests from outside and also wedding functions running loud DJ till 1am against hon Supreme Court law of 10pm. The guests are uncontrollable crowd running around everywhere even banging at the doors of sleeping guests and pressing door bells. Asked reception several times, neither they connected to SR management nor they took any step to lower the nuisance. They are busy minting money.

Although i did not expect much from a Hotel in Kannauj, the description according to a booking website was also incorrect. When we checked into the room, there were footprints all over the room. Reason: the bathmat placed at entrance to bathroom was soaking wet - we requested for it to be replaced and the room swept clean but it did not happen till 10 pm when i went personally to the reception on the ground floor and literally brought a person up alongwith. Also as detailed in a website - there is no bathrobe available in room and only one bath towel for a room being occupied by a couple (2 people). Never actually got the bathrobe and the second towel also we got post 10 pm after personally went down to reception. There is a mention that the room has soundproofing which is not true. The main door to the room has a one inch gap from the floor at the bottom making even a slight noise in the corridor clearly heard and also all noise from street outside is easily heard inside the room. Soundproofing is zero. It is mentioned that there is free wifi is available in public places - sure enough there is a wife named Asha Hotel in available wifi list but it is impossible to connect to it as the reception just does not provide the correct password - and no matter how many times you enter the wrong password, you obviously cannot connect. We eventually gave up trying to connect to the wifi. The geyser installed in bathroom is at a height of 8feet, at ceiling height and is left unplugged, and there is no way anyone can reach there to plug it in. And even after we got it plugged in somehow (again at 10pm) after repeated call for help at the reception, the thermostat is turned all the way down (and that spot is even higher to reach). When we asked for help again to help turn it on, no one “ever” came. The room was infested with flies and insects and so was the corridor outside the room. The only good thing was that the linen and the towels were clean. The split AC installed in the room worked good. That’s about it.
The biggest letdown was the facility / items assured of the website but were never there. Would request you not to misinform users just to score a booking.

My recent trip to Kannuaj, The Perfumers City of India, was quite an interesting one. The place is so much talked about on the Internet and still, it does not have many respectable accommodations. To my luck, I was guided to the best hotel in the area and it was more than satisfactory. Conveniently located this is kind of a three-star hotel.
Kannuj is around 430 km from Delhi on Delhi-Lucknow Highway. The highway is extremely driving friendly and it's easy to travel at a speed of 120km per hour, please note the legal speed limit is 100 km.
The stay was comfortable as the toilet was respectably clean and the bed was well made. The wash basin was cracked and the tap was leaking, I hope the ongoing Maintainance drive will take care of that.
The food was good and one of the best in the area. Also, you do not have many options around there so I will suggest going with the best bet in the area.

When I went to Farukhabad, to attend the girl's bouquet, I had to stop this hotel of kannauj. All amenities if this hotel are fine. Excellent management. Staff is nice. Prices are fine. Hotel aasha fantastic.
