Restaurant near Rajagopuram

This hotel and restaurant is situated just 50 m away from the Rajagopuram.
We had filter coffee there..expensive for this type of restaurant.service was good
The hotel is not that good and also people coming by vehicles will find difficult to come here especially during festivdls

Very pleasant hotel and staff

The room was very comfortable. I was very impressed with how much care the staff took in keeping the hotel clean. Renovations on the first floor created a lot of dust, but they managed to maintain sparkling floors. The attentive reception was a welcome change to our other experiences here in India. They made great efforts to ensure we had a pleasant stay. The hotel's location is the best as it is located in front of the main temple with a coffee shop at the base of the hotel steps. The hot shower, fast WiFi and great A/C were an added plus! And we were able to park our rented motorbike in the hotel parking garage at no cost.

While we didn't visit the hotel restaurant, they had an appealing selection of vegetarian meals and the area looked just as clean and inviting. I highly recommend this hotel for budget-minded travellers looking for a safe place to retreat to during your stay.

Not worth the cost . An average hotel

Pros :
A stone throw distance from rajagopuram

Cons:
After the girivalam,food is not available in the in-house restaurant.
No sign boards oftimings for the restaurant.this is a major drawback

2. No bedsheets even if requested

3.Ac is working to some extent .Not sure about it in summer

4.No water bottle or newspaper

5.Tv is very old model ( this isok considering the spiritual car)

6. No place to park car although we can park close to temple upon paying extra money

7.Average food in the in house hotel

8.No complimentary breakfast

Choose this hotel if only you want to stay near to temple.

Stay away - poorly maintained and inaccessible hotel

I stayed in this hotel last week for 2 nights and paid 6500 inr for a room. The facility is poorly maintained with really substandard bathrooms and bedding. This is probably one of the few hotels that still has cathode ray TVs. There is no wifi and no room service before 8am if you need any extra towels. No coffee either if their staffs are working on a huge order that came to their restaurant. It really shows how poorly this facility is managed.

Parking and hotel access:

If you are planning to drive, please look for another place to stay. I spent an hour looking for a way to get into the vada sannnithi street. There is an auto stand that completely blockades this street and its incredibly hard to know it's an entry to the street unless you are a local. Also there will be a no entry board which you are supposed to ignore to get into this street. The hotel staffs were completely unhelpful when you call for directions or drive to their back gate asking for directions or access.

They do not have a lot of area to park cars. There is a gate through which one car can enter and 5 cats can be parked in a single line. My car was stuck in the last and had 4 other cars in front of me while checkout. I had to wait 45 mins to get access to my car as they didn't have a driver to move those cars out and clear a space for me take my car. They let this happen even after I preemptively let them know my checkout time the day before I left.

This hotel is definitely bad for such a poor service they offer for a really high price. Spare the headache and find a better place to stay.

DO NOT GO TO HOTEL ARUNACHALA

We went to Thiruvannamalai last week we booked a room at hotel Arunachala but as we went there were not rooms at that rate they gave the room at the rate of 3500. Worst service there were no room service available. We went in search of rooms and we finally got it we entered the tv was not working there was no one to guide us. please do not go to that hotel. Rudhrasha hotel is the restaurant they are having which serve the worst food which is not at all fresh they preserve chutneys in fridge and serve the customers they cost a lot which is not at all worth. the table coasters are never cleaned. It is all with the food residues.

Avoid at all costs - poor management and deceptive

Avoid at all costs. We’re promised a room for 3 people and on reaching, the room only had 2 beds. After a lot of argument they finally gave a mattress to be put on the floor. This was flatly refused by us. Lots of persuasion later, they gave a cot and a mattress. We also had to book a separate room for the driver, while most hotels provide it free for the driver.

Hotel is well located but very poorly managed and deceptively ‘decent looking’ from the outside. DO NOT STAY HERE!

Excellent Customer Service

I was requested by my friend to kindly help his wife and her friends who are in their retirement age for 1 night accommodation during a long weekend followed by Pournami. As we know, Arunachala is usually packed during Pournami, and one can imagine the crowd, when a long weekend followed by Pournami..
Even though I cautioned those elderly ladies, they were somehow keen to attend during this time, as they wouldn't get holidays in near future and they are about to retire.
They just requested me to help with 2 rooms for these 4 ladies for a night stay.. While I tried several places and couldn't succeed, I was very inspired by the response from Lokesh and Sandhya of Hotel Arunachala..
They somehow managed and helped these elderly ladies with a comfortable stay. My sincere thanks to Lokesh and Sandhya for their timely help and support during this peak times... I would recommend guests to stay at this place and experience the hospitality of the management of Hotel Arunachala..

Great Experience

Place is extremely clean, Staffs are very helpful.
Good for marriages and family functions. Well behaved suportive staff.
Good ambience and food
Room service boys are so honesty. Room charges is better than other.

Very clean hotel

Price are very good
Staff behaviour are very good
Room and floor are clean and you can visit with family and friends. good level facility provided by hotel staff. Facilities of hotel are like 5 star very comfortable with this hotel

Very poor rooms

Hotel really at amazing place..near temple.but the rooms price is not as a room conditions. Ac no works.. No hot water..so mny times compln.but when we asked while booked.stf said all will get.when chk out time asked for less ..stf is very rude..he don't knw how to served customer. Pls advce ur stf don't be rude to customer.his answr whn people asked is very rude..I need compensation from yours to whats happen in ur hotel..pls reply my review..I paid more money for nothing in ur htls.
