We booked our honeymoon and couldn't believe how beautiful the place is, the pool are is fantastic as are the room. It's traditional, modem and quirky all at the same time. We had been greater by Thanasis one of the owners who spoke beautiful English and made us some local food and raki ( raki is a common theme throughout any trip to Crete, it's brilliant stuff) He helped us plan our days out and pick where to go. His friends restaurant close by is wondeful too and the local tavern owner is a great guy, his little BBQ was brilliant. I'd 100% recommend this place to anyone and would go back in a heart beat. It's literally surrounded by beautiful mountains in one of the friendliest places I've ever been.

I had a great experience Pervola Hotel. I am from New York and my boyfriend and I were looking for a nice, quiet, vacation together in Crete. After seeing such wondeful reviews we agreed on Pervola. It was a great place to relax and exactly what we were looking for. Far away from all the traffic. The rooms were absolutely beautiful and extremely clean. Despoina is very nice and accomodated us any way possible. She cooked every day and everything she made was very tasty. Great cook!!! I would definitely stay there again and recommened it to anyone looking for a quite, clean place to stay in Crete!

My sister and I just spent a wonderfull week at Pervola. It was exactly what we were looking for: a total relaxing vacation, close to nature in the beautiful natural surroundings of the village Sarhos and its valley, full with olivetrees and wineyards. Desphina has turned the house of her grandparents into a very special guesthouse and every room is special and differently decorated, thanks to her amazing interior design qualities. We loved to be in this place at all moments of the day: waking up in the morning in the quiet valley and enjoying from a tasty breakfast, hanging out next to the pool during the day or late afternoon and enjoying from a delicious dinner, prepared by Desphina with fresh ingredients, many out of her own, natural garden. Desphina makes your stay unforgeteable with her warm personality and Cretan hospitaly and many tips to discover non-tourist places nearby. From Pervola, you can travel easily to many beautiful attractions and sights: some beautiful beaches in the north, more south (Matala and surroundings), Lassithi area, but dont forget to enjoy from the beauty of nearby villages and surroundings. Best restaurant in Crete is actually very nearby: Earino in Kato Asites with an amazing rooftop view over the whole area and coast. She is planning on organzing yoga retreats in the near future, this is definetely the perfect place for it. I would definetely come here again on my next trip to Crete!

We had a really great time at Pervola but there were a few things that could've been improved on. It is literally in the middle of nowhere, not even a mini market in the town so you really need to be prepared either with food or to drive a min of 30mins. We felt that while it was gorgeous that the hotel hadn't fully opened for the summer, the pool was dirty as were the chairs and pillows around the pool. This was a little disappointing for us as we wanted to get away and relax in a bit of affordable luxury. To make this a five star we would suggest breakfast and a little onsite shop selling Cretan specialties. Despina was lovely however she had an even lovelier guest staying with her for the summer that made our trip most memorable. All in all a great place that I would love to visit again if ever in the area.

Your Positive comments are welcome. We are delighted that your stay was just as you like, quiet and relaxing because you have busy lives in your town. In pervola we want to create a friendly, familiar and pleasant atmosphere between all visitors .Remember the beautiful evening you spent , eating with the company of Greeks from northern Greece. The hostel was prepared to accept people, but the weather, such as rain with dirt and dust (derived from Africa), during the spring is unpredictable. For this reason there were occasional dust and dirt in the pool which is located next to cultivated fields. This advantage becomes a disadvantage sometimes. But we take care of and cleaned daily. There are 2 mini markets in the village (one minute from pervola) with traditional products at very low prices and 3 supermarkets in two nearby villages within two kilometers. The water in the village is drinking, very pure because coming from a source in the nearby mountains and is very healthy. There are restaurants within 2 kilometers of traditional dishes clean with panoramic view. (If we knew that you had this quest we would inform you, as we responded when you asked for things you needed, sunglasses, sunscreen, and we happily offered to you without consideration ).Also, here in Pervola offer breakfast and lunch with local products after consultation when not included in room rate. We hope to see you again and enjoy your stay without unpredictable weather, because you are a very beautiful and pleasant couple who knows how to enjoy life.

We were surprised by how cute this place was and by how we were received by our hostess. If you want to relax, read, swim, walk and disconnect completely from your daily routine, it's the place to be. We were there five days and it wasn't enough. We rented a car in Heraklion and drove the 35 min to Pervola. To really know what Crete is about, rent this place, a must in your Greeks vacation.

I visited Pervola last summer with my wife and we didn't know what to expect, as sometimes you see pictures, read reviews, but cannot seem to be convinced. We felt right at home in Despina's hospitality. She is warm and kind person that will try her best to keep you comfortable and happy. We would best describe her place (Pervola) as a tranquil and peaceful retreat placed in a natural habitat. It would probably suit people more that want to get away from city and enjoy the calmness that Cretan nature can provide. There are many local sites that one can visit, such as old monasteries, old villages, nearby caves up the neighboring mountain, etc...Pervola also has bicycles that you can take and go for a short ride. For those that want to go for a refreshing dip and are thoughtful of whether they should go to the sea, there is always the pool! While our trip was coming to its end, we were left with the feeling of knowing everyone in the property and feeling very homely... If you are looking for a place to relax and get to know parts of the Cretan tradition, then this destination would suit you. Hope it helps!

An atmospheric accomodation ideal for peaceful vacation especially for people who love to live near the Nature. Very impressive decoration that combine traditional archittecture with modern elements. If you wish, you can help Despoina (the owner) to collect the harvest of the kitchengarden and cook together!! Fully reccomended for families with small children! Leave your children free arround the accomodation and the village of Sarchos... it's totally safe!!
