This property has much to offer but let's themselves down on the smaller details. Rooms were huge and well appointed, quiet, great off street parking and extremely comfortable. However many items were not overly clean, outdoor area littered, window sills, oven, microwave, fridge and crockery/cutlery needed attention. Before daring to eat off crockery or drink from glasses (that were filthy) we had to clean, they were unhygienic. Oven had leftovers on the base, microwave had splatter from previous guests and fridge was not clean. Given COVID I would have expected a much higher level of cleaning however they have obviously relied on previous guests to clean sufficiently, this was not the case. However when we addressed with cleaning staff they were lovely and accommodating and cleaned window sills. We arrived at 1700hrs we had anticipated an earlier arrival but due to flight delays we were a few hours later (reception open until 1900hrs so we were not concerned) however was closed. We called the number on the door and were given a lockbox number, keys retrieved to room but they had not been allocated and we could not access. Thankfully another couple had already called reception and they were en-route so this problem was solved quickly. Also staff advised that we had been inadvertently charged twice and refund was in process however 7 days later no refund for over-charge has been processed. This is a great property, cleaning ladies were lovely but Management just need to get the basics right. Reception should be available as stated, rooms and amenities should be cleaned and outdoor areas need attention. I would stay here again and I can recommend but please Management address the issues we have raised. This will elevate your property rating considerably with little effort. I would have liked to address these issues directly with Management however as we were busy and office often closed, we did not have the opportunity to address directly when we were in residence.…
After a booking problem that Booking.com finally sorted out with a couple of phone calls, we were able to change the original room for the access unit by paying extra. However, there's a 'no refund' policy regardless of your reason for cancelling. They charge full price to cancel which is extremely bad business policy and unusually rigid for Auckland. We had to alter our dates when the airline changed our flight date and that was time consuming and unnecessarily difficult. We booked the access unit that proved to be well appointed, once we managed to access it. We arrived mid afternoon but our key left in their lockbox was for the wrong room. When we called the after hours number the woman was extremely rude but we did get the key to the disability unit, only minutes before other guests arrived to claim it - the key cards were in the wrong envelopes. The disability unit has a modern, spacious very clean bathroom and a seperate bedroom with space to move around the main room. Reverse cycle air conditioning. The kitchenette is well supplied with a microwave and the entire unit was clean. There's a dining table. The bed is just 'OK'. The bedroom has a queen bed with a single bed in the lounge. Someone in a wheelchair would be unable to reach the upper kitchen cupboards, but apart from that, it's wheelchair accessible with a park right at the door with a ramp. Extra wide doorways but no easy chairs - just two upright chairs without arms. Overall it is a good disability unit at Auckland prices for $195 a night with easy access to motorways north and south and about 20 minutes from the airport. Smoking outside with sand boxes provided. The woman who serviced our room yesterday (changed towels, removed trash but didn't make the bed) was very pleasant. We have a few more nights here before flying out. There's only one disability unit, it's room number 2. I wouldn't book here again because of their rigidly greedy "no refund" policy. It's too risky.…
Stayed here new years eve, the room was large, clean and well-appointed. Double-glazed windows meant the room was very quiet. Free parking and wifi was a bonus. Check-in was done remotely via a key box (probably due to the time of year). Room didn't have wifi or TV instructions so this could be an improvement, as reception was closed so I had to ask one of the cleaners for more info. Otherwise, a great stay and highly recommended.
The staff were lovely and had good communication. My husband and I stayed here for an evening with our 3 children. The apartment was definitely spacious and the beds were comfortable. 2/5 dining chairs were broken, 2/3 of the lamps did not work, the shower drain was blocked and the shower was pretty dirty with soap scum. I could also tell the sheets and pillows to the beds had not been changed before we stayed there. In saying all that, our trip was still enjoyable and I would stay there again. It is close to all you need and it's also a very warm building and there were no noise issues at all. Despite all mentioned, I still think the complex is pretty fantastic
My husband booked to stay at this motel but had to cancel in the last min because of the sudden Level 4 lockdown for all of NZ. He contacted the motel and explained the situation and we were still charged the full cost of 3 night’s booking $600 in total. It’s unbelievable and unreasonable!!! We will never ever book with this motel again.
We stayed 2 nights here with our grandaughter. Friendly welcome at the reception. Clean, tidy & modern rooms. Good kitchen facilities. No stove but okay with it has it had a microwave. Single bed was ideal for grandaughter
You forget the exterior once you are enclosed in these super slick rooms. The boys loved having their cookies replenished every day (who doesn’t) and we adults enjoyed the privacy and independence permitted by staying here. Generous kitchenettes and Showers. comfortable beds, beautifully appointed units and super sized sky tv for the kids when you return exhausted from your day out. The rooms are immaculate (I would put this in capital letters if TripAdvisor permitted) and rooms are serviced daily (did not expect that either as many hotels are taking advantage of the pandemic to reduce service staff citing contact reduction) Highly recommend.
I was soooooo impressed with Ellerslie Palms Motel. Friends and myself had accommodation booked for our Auckland trip but on arrival this fell through. By a happy coincidence we came across Ellerslie Palms who promptly set us up for the next 3 nights. This requirement a bit of re-jig but manager very happy to help us out. If that wasn't enough!!, we then walkkng into our mordern, spacious room with monster size shower, tv with full Sky and My Sky. I thoroughly thoroughly recommend this accommodation for best service, help, comfort and facilities.
I stayed at the Ellerslie Palms Motel for 3 nights whilst visiting from Australia. Even though I booked a ground floor room and was given a room on the second level, I didn't mind, as it was spacious, clean and quiet. There was a kitchenette with a full complement of crockery and utensils, as well as a fridge, microwave and cooking hob. A bottle of milk also comes with the room. The room was spacious and the shower was one of the larger walk in types. Free wifi is provided and there is ample parking on site. There is a but stop metres up the road, with services to Panmure train station and central Auckland. I will definitely stay here again next time I visit Auckland
Perfect location, short walk to shops and station. Nice comfortable beds. Shower bit dated, but bathroom spotless, fresh towels, linen and toiletries each day ,exalent maid service ,rooms smelt lovely and fresh after they had been. Tea and coffee facilities at small kitchen area, biscuits and tea refilled each day. Laundry room on site at back of main car park. A located parking space outside your unit. Small bar and place to eat by reception. In fact everything you need while travelling, with helpful friendly staff.
