Perched on the hilltop at an altitude of 2100 mt. amidst dense deodar and oak forest, Moksham is an amalgamation of breathtaking Himalayas, tons of experiences, pinch of spirituality and magnificent hospitality. The campsite and our team stand strong to the name Moksham (liberation)

If there is an option to give more rating to the feedback it would still be less.
Food, ambience, vibe , hospitality, room , cleanliness , amenities everything is top notch. The view from the balconies is mesmerising cherry on the cake BYOB..

We had a fantastic time at Moksham. Ankit greeted us the moment we reached there, and we had some amazing snacks and tea at the cafe right on top, overlooking the serene hills of Pungot. This is where we spent most of our time. The view of the mountains is pretty stunning from here, the cafe itself is a quaint Himalayan wood cabin - perfect decor, lights, music and a fireplace in the balcony. We then visited our tent a few steps below...it was perfect. Cozy yet large, comfortable - we were handed various kinds of quilts to keep us warm at night..we also had the electrically heated mattresses. Extremely comfortable. Yashika and Ankit are extremely friendly hosts. They go out of their way to make their guests feel comfortable and welcome. We spent hours chatting with them and the other guests there. Their team - the cook, the housekeepers and helpers are all very accessible and helpful. The food especially was incredibly good, hot and generously doled out. Our 9 year old son found himself at home too. He made friends with the hosts, their staff as well as their two mountain dogs. We are nature lovers and avid birders. Moksham's location was great for our walks and we found a number of Himalayan birds we were looking for. In all, Moksham is the perfect retreat for nature lovers, trekkers and all folks looking for a serene lookout in the hills. We'll be back there soon.

We are glad to have found an extremely comfortable space in the serene environment where hygiene was top most priority which was must due to the ongoing pandemic. The location of the camp is fascinating. To top all these was the delicious in-camp dining service serving all the mouth-watering dishes possible. A special mention to the cooperative and positive staff of the camp who ensured that we have the best time together. Extra brownie points have been earned by Ankit & Yashika because of their extra genuiene efforts for making our stay most memorable. We would highly recommend this place for anyone & everyone looking out for the cozy & peaceful stay.

Don't think twice about booking this wholesome experience. Ankit and Yashika are amazing hosts and after spending 7 days with them, the place felt like home. The breathtaking views and tasty food are an absolute bonus to the already warm atmosphere.
Luxury camps is the appropriate term for the accommodation provided, with wooden flooring, clean washrooms and private balcony with gorgeous views. High speed WiFi is also provided which makes this an ideal Work from home (WFH) location as well.
We formed an instant connection with the vibe of the place. They have a beautiful dine in cafe where all meals are served, the menu was extensive and each item equally delicious. The hosts and support staff take care of the little things, making sure the guests enjoy their stay to the fullest.
The place will exceed expectations in every sense!!

The best part about moksham is that it helps you destress in the best way possible. Located in the heart of the bird sanctuary no matter what you are always treated to the chirpings of the birds. The services provided were absolutely top of the line along with the staff and hosts being so courteous that they made sure our comfort was seen as their priority. Well equipped with all safety features and situated a stone's throw away from amazing trails, you just can't miss this stay

A warm place with warm host at a chilly mountain range! it was the best trip ever taken in a really long time. Right from Damru and Bhairav, Jivika and ankit to Vikram bhaiya my tourist/camping guide, it was just all welcoming and memorable. it felt like finally i was home away from home. had no doubts that i would be in safe and hygienic place knowing i was traveling solo, however 200 words are not enough to how touched i felt. a big thank you <3 will see you again soon

Moksham Campsite is literally "heaven on earth" if you'd like to escape from the rush into tranquility. Nestled in the hilly area of Pangot in Uttarakhand, this place is absolutely incredible with breathtaking views. My husband and I stayed in the "Nirvana" luxury camp which was sheer bliss up in the mountains. We had an extremely clean camp with hot water supply whenever we needed it to sneak away from the chills!

The hospitality and food service is amazing with delish meals made with love by home chefs. If you're looking for a quick bite, opt for the yummy chicken grill sandwich (if non-vegetarian). Don't miss out on the smoking hot maggi's, aloo and onion paratha breakfast and pahadi dishes at their restaurant. Food is so good here that you will not want to venture out and look for alternative options.

In a nutshell, if you're looking for an affordable place with great views and hospitality a few Kms away from Nainital - then Moksham is the place to be with family or friends. I'll be 100% sure to recommend this jewel to all my buddies looking for a quiet spot in the hills! Thank you Ankit and team for your courtesy, enriching conversations over drinks and your attention to everyone's needs. :)

Moksham's location let's one witness the magic of monsoons in mountains!
For the adventurous, there is a Forest Fire Trail to experience, with Bhairav (a magnificent furry companion) leading the way!
For the hikers, there are a couple of peaks one could trek up to as a day hike.
For dog lovers, you just can't have enough of Bhairav and Damroo😊😊 - and they are pretty well disciplined too.
The beautiful cafe (which has a balcony overlooking the valley and hill ranges ahead) provides reasonably priced wholesome meals! And some very appropriately selected music to go with.
Thank you for the lovely memories dear Yashika ñ Ankit! And, many thanks to your staff for their wonderful service! We hope to see you soon😊

Found this hidden gem on Instagram and since then I wanted to go here since August. Finally we made it in November. The experience is the best you could wish for. The host (Ankit & Yashika) gave us such homely feeling. The staff takes good care of your from the moment of your arrival. The view and colour shades you will witness from moksham cafe is unbelievable. Literally everything is there, from location to service to people, you will fall in love.

Me and my husband visited Moksham to celebrate our first anniversary and it was totally worth it.
We visited during second week of May and our stay was for 3 days.

Location : this place is around 40 minutes drive from Nainital and the roads are in good shape. Along the way you get to see valleys and serene jungle also there is very less traffic on this road.

Weather : it was very cold and windy specially during morning and evening hours so it’s a must to carry woollen clothings. It was pleasant during daytime.

Stay/camps : when they say luxurious camps they really mean it! Rooms were so neat and well maintained even in such a terrain. Heads off to Moksham team to maintain such level of quality. Beds were very comfortable, there was running hot water in bathrooms, and balcony was spectacular. Interior of the room was also very beautiful and niche.

Food : although they don’t have a very huge spread which is quite understandable considering the remote location but still I was delighted to have delicious stone baked pizza. Yashika baked us an anniversary cake and it was so beautiful and sumptuous. Food is almost like home made so that was a plus for us as we don’t like junk food a lot. Must try - aloo paratha, chicken curry, hand beaten coffee and ginger lemon tea.

Hospitality: we felt like we’re part of the family as the host and the entire staff was so welcoming and friendly with us. This place truly felt like home away from home.

Nearby spots : best part was we could wander around in the valley, hike on random mountains, go for nature walks or just roam around in the wilderness. Place is very remote and all you hear is sound of birds and swift breeze.

Please do not visit this place if you don’t like serene silence, minimal digital access( only jio network works here) and delicious food.

If you are planning a trip to Nainital, you can choose this place to stay and travel to Nainital for a day trip.
