From the start, I was convinced we took a wrong turn, going down be farm sheds and other dilapidated looking buildings, then here we are, a hotel no less. First note. You need a car. Location is questionable. The reception area and restaurant didn't look half bad, clean and welcoming. Receptionist seemed nice. I don't speak slovak but the in laws are local so all good. We had a buggy with us, so had to lift that up and down the stairs, we were lucky it was only to the first floor. Bedroom, 5, was in a sorry state. No view of anything, no kettle, pillows were so uncomfortable, like they were decades old, bed not great all in all. Food wasn't bad considering, and the staff seem to be friendly and helpful, with waiting staff quick with orders. Best part, 500ml of beer was only €1.50 Play area outside and the kids house inside. Ok for kids. All in all, a real budget hotel, could recommend if you are a family on a tight budget with children 4 years and up. Alternativly get an apartment closer to the slopes and cook and make sandwiches. But if you can afford it, get somewhere closer to the slopes and a better 3 star hotel. I'm giving it 2½ stars for the cleanliness and staff been good, would have be worse otherwise.

Location of the hotel is nice. Food is average. Rooms were clean but we had holes in the bedding sheets, no night light we were told to grab light from different room, missing bulbs in the room light we were told that previous visitors burned them out, toilet seat was loose, we were unable to use pool first day due to light maintenance, we were unable to use jacuzzi water was cold and half of jacuzzi was empty. Water in the pool/jacuzzi was not checked at all. Very disappointed. Personnel was very nice though. Also, the outlet in the wall was ripped off :/ after addressing the issue outlet was taped into the wall... no safety whatsoever.

We are here for the 2nd time. But this year is much better 'cause hotel is after reconstruction. It's close to the train station so it's more reachable then other hotels in Strba. After hiking we went to the spa for relax. Our children found here many friends. Stuff was really kind to us.

I went to hotel Strba for a long weekend stay which I enjoyed very much. The staff is very friendly but they dont speak very good English. also the location is very nice if you have a car. The hotel is surrounded by nature and has a very nice playground for little kids. Also the rooms are clean but I didn't like the interior design of the rooms very much, it's very basic. Overall I enjoyed my stay there very much and I would be happy to go there again for another visit.

Clean and reasonable hotel tucked away from the bustle of the High Tatras! Hidden in a spot you would never expect. Very nice facilities. Very nice dining. Staff had very limited English speaking help when I was there.
