The room was fine with aircon and nice bathroom. The room had a balcony over looking the park and in the distance a lake. The breakfast was like most breakfasts in Italy, boring !!! Boring bread, a large amount of cakes, no Yogurt Naturel - and then 10 minutes later anyway. I tried to order egg and bacon but was told that you could only get soft boiled, it was fine the first day but the last day it was undercooked for at least 1 minute. Saw at the same time 2 omelettes being served at the next table :-( The hotel is a distinct hotel for families with children, with consequent a lot of noise at the pool. The hotel has a very nice restaurant with well-cooked and tasty dishes
Pictures from booking.com are misleading. Walls are dirty. We've found hair on the towels,on the bedsheets. Red stain on the towel! Bunk bed doesn't seem to be safe for our kids. It is really old bed with dirty walls. Very outdated room. Toilet is yellow stained! They need to change the toilet seat! I would go to another hotel, but unfortunately I've booked for 3 nights. It was really loud outside until 12.30 a.m. , because they were packing something at the kitchen and they made loud noise outside in the garden under our room window. I don't recommend for families with kids. I am not coming back. I will try to cancel for tomorrow and go back to our previous hotel.
Located 20 to 30 minutes depending which way you come or go. Hotel is clean and the staff are very pleasant. We had dinner at the restaurant which was very affordable. Our waiter was excellent and friendly. Food was amazing.
The restaurant has a nice dining room, a terrace and a garden ! Even a playground for kids. We enjoyed a lot the food ! Everything was fresh and we'll cooked. Also prices are correct. Unfortunately the service is a bit boarder line... Also we were the only customers on this lunch.
The restaurant is in a very nice garden. The choice of food is large and some dishes were very good, yet others really not very good (especially the risotto di mare). The service was exceptionally bad. Very unwelcoming, strict, impatient and it took forever to get the food.
Off the beaten track in small village but close to lucca viareggio pisa.nice gardens lots of space with good sized pool. Friendly hosts.food plentiful and freshly made.. Rooms basic but good air conditioning.
Delightful gardens and a large swimming pool are the key on-site attractions. Plus, very cheerful helpful and welcoming staff. A very quiet and restful location, an attractive respite close to the hustle of the Autostrada and cities of Pisa and Luca, but an oasis of calm. Good buffet breakfast, very acceptable rooms (but not large). Located effectively at the waterfront, not as shown on the Trip Advisor map. Villahge has interesting Roman ruins, well presented; and boarded walkways and bird watching hides through the small sedge grass nature reserve. But the village is tiny, and very quiet. The key appeal in July / August is location opposite the Puccini festival. A boat crosses each evening from next to the hotel, for the Opera. Round trip including a light but adequate dinner is €20, and is THE way to visit the Opera - sunset over the water on the way out, stargazing on the way back. Excellent. We didn't try the restaurant, but it looked nice enough.…
While this family-run hotel and restaurant does is not housed in a historic villa or palazzo, it offers a multitude of positives: a shady garden, a saltwater pool, a lake with boardwalk, and most of all total relax in a calming and quiet atmosphere. The chef, Roy, takes advantage of the wonderful fresh, local seafood, preparing specialties of the Versilia at very reasonable cost. The menu is not limited to fish, though, and everything is prepared with care: steaks, pasta, anything you might want. Each family member involved in running Le Rotonde is more than willing to be helpful and often shows a great sense of humor! This place is right at the top of my "great escapes" list.
I stayed at Le Rotonde for 15 days and would recommend to all who want to visit Massaciuccoli, Italy or the surrounding area. The owners and staff are so accommodating to my American requests, like a bucket of beer. Some staff speak better English than others, but we had no problem communicating. The rooms are very clean and the grounds well maintained. They have the most beautifully shaped palm tree in the back yard. The grounds remind me of Florida and seem very tropical. The pool is very large. Now for the food--OMG it was awesome. Breakfast is complementary and a typical Italian breakfast consisting of sweet rolls, meats, cheeses, yogurt, juices, fruit, boiled eggs, & cereals. Of the 15 days, I only ate dinner somewhere else 3 times and that was my choice. They have awesome grilled zucchini & eggplant; grilled lamb (which I ate 3 times, because it was so good); fried zucchini flowers (which I had never eaten before); frog legs are smaller that Missouri frog legs, but they were awesome; and I can't forget the yummy Caprese salad that I ate with most meals. I would definitely stay here again.…
The hotel lives up to the many positive reviews. It is clean, well maintained with great food. You will need a car as it is well away from amenities but is perfect base from which to explore the delights of Tuscany. We definitely hope to return again soon.
