Nice old pub, friendly with good beer and food. There are a few rooms and the one we had overlooking the road has sloping floor and narrow en suite with modern shower cabinet, etc. Parking at the front and rear where there is a beer garden.

Booked a 2 night stay on a voucher deal for my birthday treat. The location of The Cross Keys is just off the M6 jct 38 which was brilliant and you could see the motorway from our room but this did not affect our stay here. We stayed in one of the three rooms located outside the pub, they have...

Just returned from a 2 day break here, although located in an area where there is very little to do, apart from some great walks and scenery, it makes an excellent base for seeing the lakes and other attractions by car. The outside chalet my wife and I stayed in was superb, light airy and modern with constant hot water,...

Booked in December through Groupon. Phoned to activate code. Email confirmation Done. Until we arrived to find we hadn't actually been booked in at all and the chalet we booked was occupied. Natalie was very apologetic and did get us a room for the night and a meal both free gratis but couldn't offer us what we had booked. Found...

We arrived just after lunch and walked in the bar to the welcoming open fire. The room was ready and waiting and we had friendly welcome from Natalia the assistant manager. We stayed in one of the chalets as we had the dog with us. The chalets are spacious and cosy with a large comfortable bed. There is an en...

Overall, taking into account the weekend package price, can't really complain. Clean, comfortable bed and polite staff. Beer pretty good though overpriced. However, before paying more a potential guest might want to know a bit more. Our room (5) directly over bar area so noisy until pub closes. Hot water system inadequate - a trickle and dried up completely at...

Thank you for taking time to write a comment it seems to me rather than going to any place to just chill and relax you are both just looking to pick holes, as you do tend to write many reviews, all of them regarding value. I will however answer your gripes. We are in the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake...

We have just stayed at the Cross Keys Inn for two nights with a groupon deal. The inn has lovely character and was an excellent base from which to explore and all the staff were friendly and so helpful, thank you. We will hopefully be back again

Nice Clean bedding and towels. Dogs could stay with us in the pub with separate areas allocated for them. Little niggles ....... dont expect to...

Thank you for your comments as it gives us a chance to put our side to the story right here where people do read comments, which is quite obvious that is what you are trying to do to make us look bad when we know 100% we are not! We only ever got one answer left on our machine from...

We recently bought a Groupon voucher which included a 2-night stay + £10 dinner credit per person. We decided to leave a day earlier due to Storm Barbara; and we tried to settle all outstanding payment before we left. The staff on duty insisted that we pay the full dinner amount even though we showed her the Groupon voucher. She...

Couldn't be more accommodating for my coeliac son as nothing on menu was marked as gluten free. Chef came and talked about what he could make that was safe for him to eat. One happy little boy and mummy.
